the room smelled awful living room lights didn't work, fan cover missing in the bathroom didn't work. cops showed up at 2;30 am searching for someone people outside the room talking all night. I left the next morning

Run down, shower didn’t work, cigarette holes in the bed spread and mattresses. Non smoking rooms smelled of smoke, bad! Won’t be staying here again

I reserved a room at Royal Inn Knoxville Airport Alcoa through hotels.com on 1/26/21. Upon entering the room I noticed multiple cigarette burns on the bed sheets. Next I found smeared feces on the outside of the toilet base. Finally an abundance of bedbugs were discovered on the mattress and my girlfriend said she even saw them scatter on the bathroom floor when she turned on the lights. I informed the front desk about this and demanded a refund. I was told since I went through a third party a refund was not possible by Royal Inn hotel. Contacting Hotels.com that night about a refund, they got back to me the following day claiming Royal Inn was in fact the party refusing the refunding of $48.61 for that night. I ended up driving 10 minutes away to stay at Red Roof Inn & Suites. I called the hotel two days later and talked to the manager about the situation. She was extremely rude and unprofessional in her way of saying there would be no refund, simply hanging up after telling me. Calling a second time, before hanging up on me again, the manager yelled through the phone, "I already told you...We don't do refunds here!" I will be calling the health department of Knoxville on this matter and posting this experience on every possible associated website with the Royal Inn Hotel in hopes that no one falls victim to this foul hotel.

Horrible hotel. Roach invested, dirty furniture, constant noise from people and aircraft. Homeless walking around parking lot. Thin walls allowed noiseto disturb sleep. Slamming doors, and continual noise all night. Overall dirty, noisy, filthy, bug invested hotel.

Room was smelly and dirty. Pillows had hair. Hair in bathtub. Remote did not work. Thankful I pack cleaner and pillows

My husband and I was going on a small vacation. We chose that hotel cause yes it was cheap and the pictures we saw did not look bad. Well when we got there the room had roaches and bed bugs. When my husband went to turn the key back in because we were leaving early, the guy at the front desk said he wasn’t aware of the roaches or bed bugs. If that’s the truth, why was there roach poison on a house keeping staffs cart?? They wouldn’t give us a refund so we wasted money and had to come back home. I mean I’ve been in some cheap hotels, but all of the other ones were always clean and no roaches or bed bugs!!! I have never had such a bad experience!!! Will not ever be back!!!!!!!

Roaches, lots of them. The staff is just horrible to the guests, just very rude. Spend their time talking on the phone, will make you wait forever and then talk to you like a dog. It's so not worth staying here. It is soul sucking to stay here, honestly you are better off sleeping in your car. They lie to you about fees and the actual rate, it's all just a giant nightmare. If you do stay here leave all of your stuff in the car, otherwise you might end up with bed bugs in your clothes. Dead roaches all over the floor to my room when I got there ... they living relatives soon come out to greet you once you've settled in. But you'll never be settled in because your skin crawls the entire time you're there. I've stayed in a lot of cheap and 2 star motels/hotels. This one is by far the nastiest of them all. Even my 'clean' towels were grey and looked like they hadn't been washed in weeks. Just a nasty place

Please do not get tempted in checking at this hotel, I understand its like the cheapest hotel around knoxville.The staff are literally drug addicts that will scam tenets and try to frame you. Literally will call the cops to try and succeed in getting a trespassing order on you.There is a huge scam where they get trespassing orders on the renters. After the renter gets a chance to come back and try to retrieve their vehicle they will try to extort money from you by claiming damages where done on property.The area is very sketchy and the cops are pretty corrupt around alcoa. If you are around the area make sure you are squeaky clean to the point where they do not catch you jaywalking.
