Location is amazing. Quick walk to the Chine and straight into the sea. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit and yogurt and plenty of choice. Room was comfortable. Grovefield Manor is quite old fashioned in many ways. Quirky would be a good word to describe it, which is always fun.

It was extremely hot and the fan put into the room couldn't really cope. Shower is very noisy. We came back very late from a night safari on Brownsea Island and I hope we didn't disturb anyone when we showered.

We loved the traditional feel of the hotel, and how close it was located to the beach! The owner is an absolute diamond of a guy, still managing the hotel in his 80s, lots of amazing old decor in the communal areas, chandeliers etc. All staff very polite. Bed was incredibly comfortable, fresh sheets and towels. Bath and shower spotless.

The room could have been cleaner, water pressure was very low, never enough tea, coffee, sugar, milk pots but thats the same everywhere. Window safety latch broken, no full English brekkie option, conflicting bar closure times, wardrobe definitely haunted, sparkly breakfast waitress was a bit scary, mould patches on ceiling in bathroom, dust piles behind lamp.

Beautiful house, lovely big room & friendly welcome from the owner. Delicious continental breakfast with the best croissants this side of the channel! Great recommendations for dinner from the pub down the road & beautiful walk to the beach. Fantastic

Shower didn’t drain very well but nice big shower with good pressure.

Room had everything you needed. Very clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable, breakfast, again everything was presented very clean and tidy.
