Shawlee Cottage

I stayed there for 3 nights, it was a very comfortable place, Sandy was so kind and supportive, I have to thank him for his kind care and concern. I strongly recommend Shawlee B&B for those who are looking to visit Glasgow or Edinburgh, thank you so much Sandy.

Breakfast was fab. Cathy and Sandy are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Full of joy and clearly passionate about what they do. Location was perfect for our plans whilst there. Lovely garden area and parking on site. Great amenities on the doorstep with easy access to main routes in and out of the area.

Everything was fab.

Very comfortable & quiet, I slept very well here, Sandy & Cathy are great hosts and very friendly, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Staying in Shawlee Cottage was like hitting the jackpot! It truely ticked every box. Sandy and Cathy who run this BnB were exceptionally kind, friendly and accommodating. They provided one of the best breakfast spreads I’ve ever experienced and they gave me some delicious goodies throughout my stay. My room was also very clean and comfortable. The town itself is quite small, however, I enjoyed walking and bussing to the neighbouring towns (would recommend the Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life in Coatbridge). I’m very much looking forward to returning!

Nothing to fault

The hosts were amazing, always attentive. The location was ideal to explore both Edinburgh & Glasgow. Great breakfast every morning and off street parking 👌

The rooms could do with a fan for a bit of air circulation otherwise it was ideal for requirements

Our hosts Cathy and Sandie were absolutely lovely. The breakfast was included and very good. Just like to say that The Railway pub next door was also very welcoming.

Sandy and Cathy were so welcoming and accommodating from the moment I checked in. Felt very safe and secure during my stay. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was made to order, delicious and loved the chats with the other guests and hosts in the morning. Close proximity to Airdrie Train Station (regular trains to Glasgow City Centre) and short commute to surrounding hospitals. Couldn't recommend the stay more! Thanks for the fantastic hospitality Sandy and Cathy 💚

This was a great place to stay!!! It was clean, quiet and super friendly.. the breakfast in the morning was spot on and they could not enough to help where they could. Highly recommended!!!
