great stay, room nice and clean, breakfast lovely, hosts friendly and location very handy, and superb internet connection

Lovely couple and caring hosts! Breakfast is made freshly and on your request. At breakfast all guests are sitting on one big table and this is so communicative, chatting and meeting other travelers from all over Europe and the world. :-)

Bathroom was too cold (no heating possible) and for my taste it could have been a bit cleaner.

Sandy and Cathy were absolutely amazing host. Best breakfast we had during our entire trip to Scotland! You could not ask for better host! They treated us like family. Our daughter got engaged while we were staying there and they came out to the pub next door to celebrate with us! Sandy and Cathy were the first to be invited to the wedding!

There wasn’t anything not to like! The rooms were a bit small, but the hospitality that you get while you are there more than makes up for it! The pub next door gives you all the room you need to congregate after a day of exploring! Absolutely loved everything about our experience here.

Lovely stay, I had booked Shawlee Cottage for one of my colleagues who was working in the area. Will only had good things to say about Shawlee Cottage, I will definitely book for my colleagues to stay here again.
