JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar - Adults Only - All Inclusive

This resort knocks it out of the park on all levels

Okay so I own my mistake, but JOIA Bavaro is taking advantage of the situation. Expedia’s default search is 1 room 1 guest. Now I recognize that an all-inclusive needs to charge more for a second guest and my failure to reserve the room with two guests should have some additional charge. However, if booked online, the increment cost is approximately $100 a day for the second person. The optimist thieves at JOIA Bavoro wanted to charge me over $700 extra per day for the second person (per their standard policy). The front desk folks were nice, clearly embarrassed by the situation- but did not have any ability to do anything more. I’m appalled that after much back and forth- they landed on a great “discount” of only $2700 extra for our 5 day stay. As a recent retiree- this hurts S. Gamble

The staff was amazing! Our butler Jose and Victor were there for our every request! Very friendly always happy to help in anyway they can. The pool staff also exceptional ! Camilo and staff decorated a cabana for my wife’s birthday surprise, Julianna was so sweet and friendly, very easy to relax and enjoy our time there. We highly recommend this place

I had a great one week trip there It was very nice to have little rest and relax summing and the room was amazing The food was not very special. The people the very Findlay my boyfriend he love it there for the first time to visit it was great experience

We went on our Honeymoon trip to this resort and it was so amazing. The food,the music,the vibe,staff especially our concierge Kadian went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back next year.

Excellent vacation! We enjoyed our two weeks in the resourt that felt like paradise. Rooms, grounds, food and service was exemplary! Exeptional service by Edwardo, Victor, Augusto, Darlenys, Oscar ans many more. Highly recommend you try this resourt!

From the moment we arrived until we left 5 days later, the resort lived up to its 5-star rating in about every way. Beautiful hotel, pools and beaches. Excellent restaurant chooses. Service was top-notch at every turn. Our personal concierge Nahomi checked in with us every day to be sure our stay exceeded expectations. We definitely will be back at this resort in the years to come.

We loved this experience in Bavaro. The weather was perfect and warm. The beach was big and beautiful with light breezes and plenty of chairs with shade. The pool temps were lovely to relieve the heat. The JOIA was a big, busy resort with super friendly staff. We didn't love the Iberostar club hard sell, and consequent guilt trip for saying no, but we thought our vacation was restful and made us consider a return trip to DR.
