Guests highly rate the spotless rooms and frequently praise the fantastic staff.
Great location for walking to the beach. Staff were very attentive. Food very good. Only minor issues for us were the softness of the pillows. Already booked again to visit in June.
Lovely location and beautiful house. Unfortunately did not have time to try chez roux but will definitely return to do this. Staff were great.
We had the most wonderful stay for our anniversary! Lovely, attentive staff - our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable/cloud like. It all felt very quaint and like another world. The grounds are gorgeous, with hidden spots to explore (and even chickens hiding in coupes!). We had the market menu at Chez Roux which was excellent value for money and is definitely gourmet dining. Overall, we couldn’t recommend the hotel more! Thank you
I come here every November. Just a fabulous experience. Outstanding.
This was a surprise visit to the hotel, as I was celebrating a 50th birthday. My wife and I both have very busy lives so the comfort, excellent food and relaxing atmosphere were exactly what we needed.
I stayed one night with my partner to celebrate her birthday The service and food was good up to a point. For myself I had scallops, duck and lemon tart for dinner which I thought was excellent. However in the early hours of the night I experienced a bout of serious acute food poisoning. My partner had to phone NHS24 how to deal with the situation. The night porter did a great job in bringing fresh sheets and towels as well as cleaning materials. In the morning, however, the management on duty were less than reluctant to take any responsibility at all. I do understand that public liability can be a problem these days but an apology at least might have been appropriate. All that came were excuses that it could not be their fault, despite my partner describing how acute the problem had been and passing on the comments from NHS24. It seemed the establishment only wished to retain their otherwise good reputation without admitting any possibility that the problem could be down to them.
The most welcoming Scottish hosts and marvellous hotel
Lovely service, comfy rooms, offered a free upgrade and free drink while they checked the room was ready. Fantastic porridge and breakfast
