Iberostar Waves Bellevue

We stayed in the Iberostar Bellevue early June for a week Apart from the view from our balcony (sea view room) and location .. the hotel just scrapes a 4 star The positives :- View Location Some staff (not all-most should perhaps retrain in customer service ) Reception staff were helpful The beach (although that is run by external company and is E15 for 2 sunbeds all day depending on which row you choose - front row is E20 The negatives :- We had a sea view room with balcony - view was amazing that’s where it ends Basic room - was clean and cleaned well but nothing additional in room except safe (hard to work out no instructions with it ) no extra toiletries you only get the basic shampoo/conditioner body wash and hair dryer which wasn’t worth turning it on as hardly worked - v tired needs major modernising - old fashioned furniture, broken tile on balcony All inclusive restaurants .. the wine on offer on the all inclusive is always warm.. had to get ice to put in to chill.. (that’s if you can find any ice !) The beer at most bars is flat .. the best bar to get wine /beer is the grand terrace which seemed to be the best pumps .. food wise was just ok.. tho same food pretty much every day and night.. thought there would be a theme eve but could perhaps mix it up a bit if you’re eating there every night ! The gym doesn’t open till 9am as an external company runs it.. Why not open 8-8pm instead of 9-9pm? Sure most people would prefer to work out before breakfast ?! It’s a little confusing with all the different receptions at hotel there is one in each block ! Overall hotel is in a good location but really needs some investment and a good refurbishment it’s very tired ! Likely would return but not to this hotel ..

Good place, perfect staff, very good meal. So much families with small kids. Big staf of animators, but evening show is so so. So expensive rest.

Here at the moment. Outdated hotel. Needs a good refurb. Upgraded to a room with a larger terrace for nearly £1000. Scrappy wooden chairs n table, would be ok for child’s tea party. No dressing gown or slip ons. Medium sized room. Dated furniture. Budva and becici both strewn with rubbish, cigarette butts ect. Hotel grounds beautiful. Children would be ok if they were controlled properly bu their parents. No one speaks English as there are such a difference in nationalities serving over the hotel. Would not recommend for the older age who are well travelled. Better to places to pay £5000 on.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Iberostar Bellevue hotel, We would like to clarify a few issues that were bought up by previous reviewers . 1 ) all drinks are free to all inclusive guests in all bars apart from the piano bar where they charge of 50% of the cost of drinks 2 ) sun beds and parasols are chargeable on the beach for 2 sun beds and a parasol in the first two rows closest to the sea is €20 for the day the rows further back are €15 a day We had an amazing stay, we were in block 3 , staff were amazing from the front reception to house keeping , bar and restaurant staff , entertainment team everyone was really lovely and welcoming The entertainment team were always about encouraging guests to join in activities , Vasya was great very funny and encouraged us to take part in activities The rooms were spacious and clean and fresh towels when u needed them Food was lovely there was something for everyone , I made use of the massage and this was amazing . Would strongly recommend the hotel , pool areas were lovely and pool very clean We had a wonderful holiday thank you to all at the iberostar waves Bellevue The only recommendation we could make is toilets are needed at the beach bar in the evenings

We found the hotel really good, it suited us perfectly. Room was fine very clean, comfy bed, shower was not the best but did its job! Location good close to beach (sun beds charged for as not part of the hotel). Food in restaurants usual AI but always something to eat, never had the same meal twice. They made my birthday special. Snack bar great if you don’t want to go to the main restaurants during the day. Usual sun bed situation, taken very early but lots available away from the pool under trees if you want shade, also lots taken and then vacated! We always got a couple round the pool with an umbrella.Lots of children in the pools but if you don’t want that, go adults only somewhere else! Drinks fine ask for branded spirits. All the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Lovely walk to Budva old town, beware, the hotel can order you a taxi for six euros but if you don’t order one back the taxis on the rank suggest 20 euros. Some nice walks around the hotel with great views, we had a good time.

Food is good, a lot of options. Staff normal. Sunbeds by the sea cost. Evening shows are not good. Terrace furniture not comfortable...and sticky . Overall the hotel is nice 👌

Just got back from our 3rd visit to this hotel and it was a fabulous stay yet again, the staff are lovely i just can't fault the hotel, food is great if you can't find anything to eat here then there is something wrong, the hotel grounds are spectacular and very well looked after, all I want to do now is book again i can't wait to go back

Not a 4 star hotel as you would expect, at most a 3+ star hotel. Rooms do not have tea/coffee making facilities, housekeeping a bit hit & miss with towels & bathroom mat not being replaced (had to phone reception 3 days to get them). No waiter service at restaurants or bar areas, everything is self-service but collection of used plates and glasses very efficient. The bar seating areas are poor, with no quiet & comfortable seating areas - it is either noisy bench seating or uncomfortable seating near the snack bar - they make Wetherspoons feel luxurious! The pool bar area only 9 tables - minimal chance of sitting here. As the hotel has almost 600 rooms sunbathing areas with some shade are quickly taken up by 10.00am. On the upside the gardens are beautiful and well tend and the location if the hotel is excellent with beachfront walks into Becici & Budva. A very busy hotel so don't expect a relaxing or quiet stay.

I am writing this review as I am currently staying at the hotel for 10 days. It has a good location. The room in the Terrass building is nice with lovely view. Air conditioning excellent. Meals in the restaurant are good but I would say the food is a bit repetitive. I did email the hotel that we were celebrating a special occasion. But there has been no mention of this since we have been there. Prosecco is not kept in the fridge ??? Pool bar state the fridge is broken ?? Other bar no explanation. The restaurant layout is nice with outside seating. But if eating inside all you hear is staff banging plates of left over food into the bins. The one area the hotel needs to improve is the entertainment staff and activities. I have not been approached once yet ? Activities are on a board but not enough detail and these often don’t take place. There is no active recruiting of guests to participate and they not organised in any fun way, or team environment. The only staff I have seen on numerous occasions are the spa staff. The entertainment staff need a trip to a Dreams resort in the Carribean to see how these activities are sold to guests and how these are made fun acitivities. Even the main show is hardly pushed/advertised. Real room for improvement in these areas. Enjoying the hotel but so much more could be done.

Great location right on the beachfront and close to the tunnel to walk through to Budva. Room was good, we booked a sea view and the view was stunning. Food was god plenty of variation during our two weeks. We did eat out a couple of times as you can only take so much buffet. We did have an issue with the ac and despite six or seven attempts it was not really working correctly during our stay. Hotel did provide a good fan. Definitely recommend for families as there are plenty of activities throughout the day.
