"Lovely trip overall"

8.0

We have just returned from a 12 day stay at this hotel. Overall we had a lovely stay. The good... The room was nice, spacious for our family of 4, clean and bright. We were moved to this one and it had 2 balconies and a lovely view. Not good if scared of heights. It was our anniversary and my birthday whilst there and we received a towel decoration and a bottle of fizzy wine in the room and at our evening meal along with a cake. Food was lovely, always an option for my fussy 4 year old! The pizza was nice, food always fresh and hot. The grounds were well maintained, pools fab with 4 outseode ones to choose from. We tended to stay in the 2nd smallest which was perfect depth for our little ones. Budva old town is beautiful and we also got a taxi to kotor one day. We did a small boat trip via a company based close to the beach side, 20 euro each. The not so good.. Our allocated room was in block 3, the main pink building and looked right out on the entertainment, room was not very soundproof and it was super loud. We like to play cards at night on the balcony and this was impossible. Luckily they did move us the the other side of this block after 1 night. Obviously not an issue if you like to stay up for the entertainment. Entertainment repeated weekly, had worse but could be better. Kids club ok, didnt seem to do any particular activities with the children the couple of times they visited. just free play with toys which mine don't mind. Advertised activities though but not sure when these happen. Mini disco popular, little repetitive. Drinks absolutely fine, was expecting worse. Wine drinkable and beer fine too. Our cleaner was lovely, very friendly. Some staff a bit standoffish. Block 1 is the most modern. We did look t a room in block 2 as they were moving us and it was absolutely fine and equally as modern as block 3. We tended to eat down at block 1 as beautiful views. Handy area where people leave old inflatables etc. Towels provided with 10 euro deposit, can be changed however frequently you want. Transfer took just over an hour due to roadworks, started last year apparently so hopefully done by next summer. We would return to montenegro. It's beautiful. Perhaps not this hotel or if we did we would maybe upgrade room to block 1.

"Flying into Dubrovnik Airport with Jet 2"

10.0

Just back from a week at this hotel booked through Jet 2 flying into Dubrovnik Airport. Firstly let's talk about the transfer, it took much longer than expected. Our flight landed at 11:30 am but we didn't arrive at the hotel until 5:30pm, so a 6 hour transfer. It shouldn't take this long but we were queuing at the border for 2 hours, which you are warned about, and then the traffic was really heavy which led to slow progress hindered by signifiant roadworks on the stretch of road from Tivat airport (which you pass en route) down to Budva. There was no opportunity to stop for a drink or food, so make sure you take water and snacks with you if you are travelling this route. As we dropped off at different hotels along the way, we were allowed to use the toilets in those hotels. The good news is that the minibus was nice and cool and we had a lovely tour company guide with us on the journey to negotiate the border crossing and passport checks etc. We were however, worried about the transfer back to the airport and missing our flight. We were picked up at 06:20 am for our 12:30 pm flight which would allow 4 hours for the transfer if we were to arrive at Dubrovnik the recommended 2 hours before. Luckily, at this time in the morning, the traffic was light and we went to a different border crossing point which had only 4 vehicles in the queue before us. consequently, the transfer on the way back took only 3 hours in total and we were at the airport before the check in desks had opened, so plenty of time to get food/drink and shop before our flight. I should also say that the hotel very kindly provided coffee and croissants at 6am for us - just ask at reception the night before. The hotel is huge, more like a village with 3 main accommodation blocks and beautiful gardens. We were in block C, the pink building which is the first building you enter when you arrive. We received a complementary upgrade on arrival to a family suite which was huge and provided our teenage daughter with her own bedroom. The room was lovely with sea views, 2 balconies and lots of space, everything was clean and well maintained if a little dated in style. We did have leak in our room with water coming in through a vent in the ceiling, but this was fixed within hours of us reporting it. The next day we came home from the beech to a bottle of fizz and a platter of fruit in our room as an apology from the hotel management. As we were in C block, you could hear the evening entertainment which went on until 12 midnight but with the doors closed and aircon on, it was fine and didn't disturb us. The food was lovely, freshly prepared and tasty with plenty of variety. It is the only holiday I have ever been on and not had some disruption to my digestion (if you know what I mean). Plenty of variety in drinks too and the local wine and beer in the all inclusive package was really nice. The only grumble I have is that the sun beds around the pool were all reserved with towels by 7am, and annoyingly some of them were not occupied all day! It was so annoying that people never used the beds they had reserved. I prefer a policy of no reserving of sun beds and if people do not return within one hour, then towels are removed. Because of this, we went to the beach which have plenty of available sun beds because you have to pay around 20 euro's per day! The beach is shale with stones at the shoreline so it is a little sore getting in and out unless you have swim shoes on. The water is lovely and clear and warm and we enjoyed snorkelling. Lots of water sports available if you walk down the promenade a little. The good news is that you fetch drinks from the hotel beach bar within your all inclusive package which makes the only expense the sun beds. Overall, we had a lovely relaxing break and will be back to explore more of Montenegro and this beautiful coastline, although I think we will choose to fly into Tivat next time.

The Spa at Iberostar Waves Bellevue in Montenegro was fantastic. The Hammam massage and bathing experience was second to none, and I would recommend it to everyone within their first couple of days to help relax fully. Latif and Saban were both excellent; Latif is knowledgeable, friendly and delivers excellent service in SO many languages, and Saban has healing hands. Loved the hotel experience in general too.

"Good"

It had good aspects and bad aspects. Food was upto Iberostar standard I enjoyed it every night for 7 nights, good selection of bars to grab drinks although if you turned up within 30 minutes of closing time the men bartenders would make you feel very unwelcome and be visibly annoyed. Entertainment had a lot to be desired compared to other holidays I have been on it was tacky and basic not enough room for everyone to sit either. Good pool Entertainment through the day with games, music and sports. Well maintained grounds and clean. Bit angry at the receptionist booking us a taxi to Budva old town which was only a few miles along the road he said it would be €10 max but end up costing us €30! All very young staff feel like they didn't have the experience to deal with people very well.

"Standard all-inclusive resort"

8.0

Hotel area is very nice and well-maintained, right next to the beach. The beach itself is in a beautiful spot, but the mixture of sand and stones makes it very unpleasant to visit so we mainly stayed at the hotel pools which was good enough. In general I would say that the hotel is more or less what you expect from an all-inclusive resort in this price-range. The best upside compared to others are that the sound-level and business of the restaurants is quite good. The downside is that general service-level is quite low (mainly in the restaurants) where you rarely see a smile and all questions are met with sighs. Travelling with two family members that are not able to eat gluten worked out well. There were many gluten-free options and they also provided special made pizza and pasta dishes upon request. At breakfast we were able to get gluten free pancaces most of the days. We were happy with the stay, but would not necessarily come back again.

"A lovely hotel with beautiful sea views well placed to visit Montenegro."

8.0

We recently returned from a very enjoyable holiday at the Bellevue booked through Jet2.There are three blocks to this hotel and we were in the block furthest away from the evening and children’s entertainment. We had a spacious room overlooking the sea with a very large balcony and no noise disturbance. The food in our restaurant was good and varied. I have food intolerances and these were catered for, though not with the choice I have had at other Iberostar Hotels. All of the staff were very helpful especially the reception staff and the Jet2 rep. Our room staff were excellent making sure we had everything we needed. We booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to Kotor and arranged with the driver to collect us at a given time, this worked very well especially as he took us through the pretty mountain roads to avoid the roadworks. We also travelled to Petrovac by bus without any difficulties and found walking to the Old Town through the tunnel easy to do. Our Jet2 trip to Skadar Lake was definitely a highlight of the holiday. Our stay was very close to 5stars, there were just a few small things linked to the food that were lacking at times.

"Fantastic stay"

10.0

Had a fantastic time at this hotel, checking was a bit manic with there being 14 of us and 2 Dickinsons 🤣 Ana looked after us and got us sorted. The hotel was spotless and the food really good, location was amazing and fews good, the walk into budva about 30mins, lots of bars and restaurants close by. Only negative and nothing to do with the hotel but all the taxis rip you off was 25-30 euro to get home from budva when it should be know more than 10

"Great hotel"

10.0

Great hotel. Spent a week here in June with my Fiancée and toddler. The hotel itself has lovely grounds and pools that are all well maintained by hard working staff. It’s a short stroll into Becici and not too far from Budva. The food is to a good standard and so are the all inclusive drinks on offer. Our room was modern and cleaned daily. The staff were all friendly and hard working. Special shout out to one of the dining area cleaners (think she was called Mariwa but that’s from memory) she always made a big fuss of my toddler. The only bad experience was when a female manager shouted at Mariwa in the snack bar area in front of guests which I found unprofessional and a bit uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
