Budget Lodge Inn - Abilene

A clean comfortable place to spend the night while traveling cross country.

When I pulled into the hotel, I was not impressed as the paint on the outside was chipped up and the parking lot was worn out. The manager was very cordial and checked me in fast. The room was very clean, lot of TV channels, $20 less than the Super 8, park right at your door, and the updated bath was a pleasant surprise. Bed very comfortable. Only real complaints: 1. window coverings did not keep out the morning light (I faced east) and 2. Walls were thin, I could hear my neighbors but they went to sleep early. All in all, a very good stop.

50 type motel that’s been completely remodeled. Clean. Fridge and microwave. 50 inch flat screen tv. $35 a night. Will stay again. Well the app says I need another 70 characters so here I am and just barely made it now.

Decent bed and TV. Musty and walls need cleaned/painted. Tub cracked and shower curtain needs cleaned or replaced. Was quiet on open side. Dark though.

Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Clean. Great value for dollar. I would stay again.

Being a Budget Inn, it was clean but did need some updating. It was quite with other persons staying and it was fully occupied For a Friday night. Check in was very fast and friendly.

This place looks rough on the outside, but the inside is clean, the service is friendly, and the internet connection is fast. Attention to detail (like painting around trim) means they are making a go of this. I was pleasantly surprised and slept very well!

The tub was cracked in the bottom and my husband said it began to give way, so you had to stand with feet up against sides of tub. It was dangerous getting in and out.

The room was small, very small. The walls were paper thin and all sound from the outside and other rooms was clearly heard inside our room. It is also the only hotel room I have ever stayed in that had no thermostat, we had no way to control the room temp, and it was a bit too cold for comfortable sleep. The room also had a unique odor. It was not overpowering enough to drive you outside, but when you entered the room after being outside it was definitely present. The bed was not too uncomfortable, except for the cold room temp. It was also very clean. But everything is dated and old so you might get the impression that the room is on the dingy side. I would certainly NEVER stay there again, nor would I recommend it to others. Best to spend a few extra dollars and get a more modern, comfortable room with a thermostat.
