Budget Lodge Inn - Abilene

The room was small, very small. The walls were paper thin and all sound from the outside and other rooms was clearly heard inside our room. It is also the only hotel room I have ever stayed in that had no thermostat, we had no way to control the room temp, and it was a bit too cold for comfortable sleep. The room also had a unique odor. It was not overpowering enough to drive you outside, but when you entered the room after being outside it was definitely present. The bed was not too uncomfortable, except for the cold room temp. It was also very clean. But everything is dated and old so you might get the impression that the room is on the dingy side. I would certainly NEVER stay there again, nor would I recommend it to others. Best to spend a few extra dollars and get a more modern, comfortable room with a thermostat.

Great place for a sound sleep. No frills, simple, clean, small room, but just what we needed for a good nights sleep. Hot coffee to send is off in the morning. And it has a great restaurant just feet away.

Stopped in Abilene because we were tired of driving. The room was small (for the price you really can't complain, though) but it was clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The area was really quiet, too. Best sleep I've had all trip.

I'm not sure what other people are expecting from this place, but it's an older, small motel off the road made to rest your head in. We actually stopped in Abeline simply because I was done driving for the day and was heading to another hotel when I saw this one- and figured why not? It is in a great location off the interstate, has excellent WiFi, and is your basic bed and bathroom. Everything we needed to rest up and get back on the road the next morning. Sure, it's in need of a renovation, but not so much that it's falling down or anything- it's simply a bit aged. But it was clean and quiet, and even though the room is small was perfectly fine for the three of us. Need a place to rest? Don't want to spend a ton of money? This is a great place. It was $50 with the taxes and I'm so excited I didn't spend $40 more like I was going to.

For the price, we had reasonable expectations but were still disappointed. The room appeared very well-used, especially the bathroom and carpet. The condition of the carpet was such that we didn’t feel comfortable walking on it with bare feet. The bathroom was clean but not well-maintained. There was an exhaust fan but no switch for turning it on. Showering caused the entire room to become very humid and sticky Also, since there was no counter space by the sink, the lack of hooks for clothes was inconvenient. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the frig and microwave though a small coffee pot would have been nice.

In Abilene to visit Eisenhower’s presidential library. Inn was clean and convenient to restaurants and the library. Had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Room had a king sized bed. Quite even though the main road was near by. The man at the desk was brusque and didn’t bother telling me about the breakfast nor where to get ice.

My fiance and I were passing through town, and we got a room here. There was a group of adult males hanging out with their door open right next to our room, and we did not feel safe. After 10 minutes, without even going into the room, we decided just to stick out the drive and go back home. When we gave back the key, the man at the front desk refused to give us back our money. He was very rude.

The motel was very nice it had recently been updated and it was nice and clean and everything look new pretty much the only bad thing was The Bar Next Door they were extremely noisy!

The 10 unit s of motel rooms has one furnace and air conditioner and our room was hot and stale smelllingand we did not spend the night

Needs a major remodel and update done. Parking area not well maintained. Rooms were dated with no temp control in the room. Was very hot all night in the room. For the price paid it served a purpose, but will not stay there again.
