Friends Hostel and Apartments Budapest

The staff at the hostel were very friendly and always tried to be helpful. The room was very spacious and very clean. It appeared to be renovated quite recently. In terms of negatives, the place was slightly difficult to find and once found there were many flights of stairs which made it difficult. While the facilities were modern and the rooms were comfortable it was a particularly hot time of year and the air conditioning wasnt very effective which made sleeping a bit difficult. Otherwise it was certainly good value for money for the room.

Friends is in a very good location. The hostel itself is nice and recently renovated. It's a great place to meet others traveling. The place is sparkling clean and very comfortable. The staff is courteous, professional and helpful. I had a great time at Friends.

A lot better than we were expecting. Very central and excellent value for money

This hostel is situated right in the center of the city, within walkable distance of all the main landmarks which makes it very convenient. You actually have two parts in the hostel: one that is very modern and super comfy, the other that looks like an old apartment (still quite comfy but looks a bit outdated and you don't have direct access to the reception). Only negative point: in the dorm, the big windows are very thin and you can hear every noise from the busy boulevard down there, which can totally wake you up in the early morning and prevent you from falling asleep. Apart from that, very nice stay!

It is a pitty because the place is very cozy and nice, and the staff is very friendly. It is difficult to find it from the street but inside is a nice house, broad. After I saw the reaction in my arms and neck I asked for a change of bed, it was not possible but at least they changed the linens. :(

We booked a private room and was surprised by it's size. The sharing area was huge and it felt very secure and private. The location was also great, right in the middle of the city surrounded by a lot of food places and really great bars. A definite must stay for it's price and value.

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Das Publikum jung, was u.a. zu einem enormen Geräuschpegel führen kann. Zum Beispiel wurde morgens um 5 von einigen Gästen eine Party inszeniert. Heizung ist zentral geregelt, schaltet sich um 22 Uhr ab und um 5 Uhr an. Beide Uhrzeiten sind zu früh. Abends wird es schnell kalt im Zimmer, morgens um 6 Uhr ist es sehr heiß. Die Bettdecken sind etwas dünner als die Sommerbettdecken, welche mir bekannt sind. Es wird sehr kalt in der Nacht. Tagsüber läuft die Heizug auch nicht immer. Handtücher, obwohl auf den Fotos des Hostels auf den Betten abgebildet, sind im Preisnicht enthalten. Kosten einen Euro extra. Gepäck kann nach dem Check-Out im Hostel verbleiben, kostet €2 extra.

Very nice place right in the very center of the city! People are friendly. We were surprised to see that they have free drink)) nice treat! I would commend this place as the prices are good and atmosphere is warm too. The barman is friendly and would talk to you gladly! we wish we could stay there longer, but had to leave the next day.
