Rooms are tired and need more effort

It was in Stroud that here I needed it to be

The room was grotty and not clean. The toilet brush was very dirty, shower mouldy and grotty and not clean. They had a breakfast meeting event in the room below us so from 6am people were walking around in heels. Because of this event we never got our breakfast and there was no staff around to talk to. I was so shocked at our experience when the reviews were so good but if you read the reviews they give it high stars but are saying the same as me. Very over priced for what you get especially when you are not given the breakfast as advertised and paid for

Good location for where I needed to be, comfortable bed, fairly quiet, plenty of parking, bottled water provided

Really small room, with a tiny bathroom. I had brought my yoga mat so that I could do some stretches etc but there wasn’t enough room to roll it out! I found the room pretty chilly and all the heating was switched off, so a member of staff found me a plug in heater to take away the chill.

Lovely old Inn in a wonderful position. Excellent personable staff meeting every requirement. Very good food

The bathroom was very clean and everything worked, but getting a bit shabby. The decor in room 4 was gloomy, and condensation on the windows omitted views in the morning. The room however was clean, well equipped and the bed very comfortable.

Breakfast was excellent. Amazing location. Comfy seating in bar area & relaxed setting. Fairness of staff when dealing with a hot water problem one morning.

Room & bathroom quite small, little details would improve it: Bedside tables for both sides of the double bed, toilet roll in better place for access, soap/shower gel shelf in shower needed. Overpriced food & drink. Paper thin walls which weren't a problem for us as not too busy while we stayed but could become an issue for people if busier.

Lovely lonely location on the common. Historic building, clean room and excellent breakfast
