Castello Village Resort

Our first visit to Crete. We were made to feel at home immediately. A beautiful hotel with a choice of restaurants all within short walking distance. A wonderful breakfast selection catering for everyone and always room to sit inside or out. The lunch and evening food is not only excellent but very reasonably priced by comparison to the surrounding restaurants. Put all of this together and I would recommend this accommodation to anyone.

What stood out most about our stay wasn’t the hotel itself, but the amazing people who work there. The staff went above and beyond in so many ways, and I’d like to give them the recognition they deserve. Andreas, the head of entertainment, and Bia from his team were a huge highlight of our trip. Andreas has a way of making every guest feel involved and at ease — he even convinced me to take part in a flaming stick twirling show with the performers in front of a crowd, something I’d never normally do, but it turned out to be great fun. He led the aqua gym sessions with fantastic energy, and he even adapted some of the yoga classes so my pregnant partner could join in comfortably. Beyond the activities, Andreas was always approachable, happy to stop for a chat whenever we saw him around the hotel. Both he and Bia created a warm, fun atmosphere that lifted the whole experience. In the restaurant, the team were outstanding. Eva not only provided great service but also shared her local knowledge — she even showed us photos on her phone of the best places to spot fish, shrimps, and crabs in the sea. Dora was incredibly thoughtful, especially with my nut allergy. Every morning she brought oat milk to our table, talked us through what was safe to eat, and even went back and forth to the kitchen to double-check ingredients. That level of care really meant a lot. Ervis was always smiling and welcoming. One evening we spent a couple of hours trying (unsuccessfully) to get football on the TV at the bar — he tried everything he could and even came back the next day to say he’d researched more solutions. That dedication sums him up perfectly. Chico looked after us most lunchtimes, and since few other guests were on full board, it often felt like we had a private dining experience. He explained the food, gave honest recommendations, and even asked the chef to prepare us a special salad, which was a lovely touch. At reception, Giannis was excellent. He gave us great advice on which beaches to visit, how long it would take to get there, and even shared insider tips on the best way to access one of the more hidden spots. His knowledge and friendliness made exploring the area so much easier. Altogether, the staff made our holiday feel personal and memorable. Each of them went above and beyond in their own way, turning good service into truly exceptional hospitality. We’ll remember their kindness far more than anything else

Very nice hotel, staff were very helpful, specifically at the front desk, the lady with glasses to be specific always help us with excurions and providing info etc, and the kitchen staff were always nice and happy to help. Beautiful view of the sunset nearby, zoo not too far away and a trip to Watercity is highly recommended.

Brilliant resort. Cannot fault anything about it. Great food and the staff are super friendly. Animation team, led by Andreas, work hard to put on some great shows.

Great people, beautiful place, good food! The staff was warm, friendly, and always ready to help, making us feel at home from the start. The location is stunning, surrounded by natural beauty that creates a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean, comfortable, and offered everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The food was fresh, tasty, and a true highlight of our holiday, with plenty of local flavors to enjoy. Overall, it was a perfect combination of hospitality, comfort, and scenery – an experience we would happily recommend and repeat!

Lovely hotel, pool was great and the views are stunning. Had bed and breakfast which was great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, Andreas who led the entertainment at the hotel was super friendly and always said hello to everyone. I rented a car via the hotel which was very quick and easy, which id definitely recommend to visit some of the places nearby. I went to Knossos and Agios Nikolaos which I’d also recommend.

Superbe et très accueillant

The hotel is very friendly, well located, it really looks like a small village, everything is very comfortable, the staff is very helpful. There is entertainment every day, and it is a great place for families, but also for couples. The space of breakfast is very nice and also the food was good.

A great time was had at Castelló village resort! The staff were friendly and polite. Andreas and Bia were great sports and very enthusiastic with their entertainment throughout the day and night! The restaurant and reception staff were very friendly and helpful with our queries and requests. A great atmosphere day or night and met our expectations in this holiday to Crete!
