Khaolak Laguna Resort

The location of the resort is great - right on the beach! The staff at the beachfront restaurant were lovely, particularly Aye the manager who looked after our group well - we had a table for dinner set up next to the water, with excellent service. The resort is also close to the town of Khao Lak, so there a few nice bars to hit after dinner - notably Sakai Bar, Chang Bar and Monkey Bar - a few minutes walk away.

The rooms that were given to us were near a stagnant water canal that had a bad smell.

A perfect holiday for couples or families. Great hotel/resort with bungalow rooms and a good breakfast. Many excellent local restaurants and bars - great food and live music. Thailand is a perfect, safe, place to visit, friendly people. Grab taxies made it easy to explore.

It exceeded my expectations and I have visited Asia many times.

The property is beautiful. Staff very courteous.... over-all a very nice experience

I think it needs to be more wheel chair friendly.. a lot of steps and stairs for elderly folks

Villa allocated was on a building site, with orange building sand everywhere which ruined shoes and clothing! Bulldozer and vehicles blocking views of the sea and so noisy, from 8.00 am some mornings! The bed in the villa was very uncomfortable, as the mattress needed renewing - dips both sides - poor sleep for a week - dreading laying on it! Restaurant staff (Ju, in particular) at beach restaurant rude, to the extent that she admitted not listening to me and another taking my husband’s dinner plate, when he hadn’t finished - just paused for a drink! Restaurant supposedly takes last orders at 10.30 pm, but on our arrival at 9.30 pm, we got our three courses delivered within a few minutes of finishing the previous course. When I confronted Ju about our dessert arriving almost immediately, when I had requested at least a 10 minute break, firstly she said that she didn’t listen to me and then that the chefs like to leave 10.30 at the latest! As we were eating our main meal, shutters were being pulled down blocking our view of the sea and chairs stacked. Such a terrible experience, would not recommend this restaurant, especially as there are very good restaurants literally right outside the hotel, who appreciate your business! The beach which lots of people rave about was non existent in the day, as the sea comes right in. The hotel grounds are on a cliff edge looking down on the beach, which is considerably lower. The sunbeds dotted along the edge and around the pool are always reserved early in the morning - we didn’t get one for the 7 days we were there! All in all dreadful experience!

It is our third time in this wonderful place We come here again and again even though it is not a cheap one We love the villas , the relaxed atmosphere on the hotel grounds and the Beach is so clean and neat There has been little reconstruction which Will Only make this paradise even better . The rooms are freshly painted , the fridges and bathtubs are changed since the last time we where here A green mountain behind us and a quite Laguna with Golden sand and very beautiful impressive rocks A lot of commodo lizzards crawling quietly around, squirrels , variety of eksotic birds , fish, we even saw a little shark in the water. The city is 1000 meters from Laguna A lot of shops , food markets , restaurants for any taste and ofcourse the massages The breakfast is nice and the little restaurant by the Beach has something to each taste Mini bar filled everyday with beer water and softdinks ( prices a little higher than in the market) Personal thanks to Miss Dior and the girls in the reception The service staff: A , Benz, Ko and many many others Beautiful stay and service , also many seen before faces ( people return her every year ) Thank you Kapunka !!! - schöne große Zimmer (die Siam Zimmer waren eigentlich schöner als die Villa) - freundliches Personal - gutes Frühstück mit Iced Getränken - viele Sonnliegen

- wir haben 5 Monate im Voraus 6 Nächte gebucht und mussten dann trotzdem wegen Überbuchung für eine Nacht in ein anderes Hotel umziehen. Das war natürlich Aufwand, sen wir uns lieber gespart hätten - Der Strand in anderen Hotels ist etwas schöner, weil er direkt vorm Laguna aus einer Mauer besteht. - Im Restaurant am Strand musste man sich als Frau etwas überziehen über den Bikini, Männer durften oben ohne sitzen - unfair!!

Sehr freundliches Personal, gepflegte Anlage. Sehr entgegenkommend wegen der nicht störenden Baustelle, die kurzum fertig war.

Zuerst hatten wir ein Zimmer Strassenseitig. Da kann man überhaupt nicht schlafen. Unbedingt Zimmer abseits der Strasse verlangend

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. On check in we were allocated room 511 which we declined as it was right next to the on going construction work. Room 725 was perfect for us it is near the busy main road but the noise is not heard. Pool/ beach are lovely the pool area very clean. Lunches were great and the service throughout the hotel is friendly and professional. Would stay here again
