Khaolak Laguna Resort

There is work currently going on at the resort to repair the seawall and seafront bungalows, we did get an email off TUI to let us know, so we were informed around a week or so before travel. On arrival we was given coupons to use at the hotel as a good will gesture due to the work going on, whixh was 2 dinners, 2 cocktails and 2 massage each. Beautiful traditional Thai complex, we was staying in one of the bungalows and was in 125, just behind the two bungalows they were renovating/repairing. Amazing seafront view from our porch. The room itself was a nice size, bath and shower. They are traditional Thia style. Breakfast is buffet style, and was good. I just had a freshly made omlette most mornings. The pool area, is nice, really nice view and comfortable sunloungers. Love the monitor lizards that just potter about the gardens. I only have two negitives for this resort. Paying by card and the Sun Loungers Resurant. Paying by card - you have to get up and follow them to the office to pay. Which can get abit annoying everytime you want to pay for something, and the club lounge dont have a card machine. We get a drink in the club lounge one night, and I had to go reception to pay, but then there card machines weren't working, but i had to explain it was there machines and not my card. I had to go all the way down to the office at the restaurant to pay in the end. Manage to enjoy my drink eventually. The staff are very well mannered, and lovely. The sunloungers restaurant needs some improvements. Every time I went I felt I had to ask for there service, for menu, to make an order. Nothing ever seemed to go quiet right in all of my four visits. One time I ordered and 45 minutes later I asked about my order and they took my order again. Two main dishes came out separately, and was a good 15 minutes between the dishes. Good job we was sharing as someone would be sat with no food, whilst the other ate. Lastly the last night before leaving we used our last coupon, for dinner. We ordered two starters to share and half way through eating a chicken tender I noticed it was raw towards the middle, so I pointed this out to the staff. They said they will get us fresh. They came back out with the same food that had been cooked longer. I did laugh at first that they put a half eaten chicken tender back in , and brought it back out, but I then food hygiene comes in to question. Due to a language barrier we felt it would just be hard work complaining about it. So we just left it. Unfortunately my partner did become unwell the next day. A possitve - the pizza was really nice. That why its a 4/5. We only really ate dinner there because we was given the coupons in the first place.

Wow. A really authentic and lovely little gem of a place. An incredible location with a wonderfully warm team. It screams Thailand. Yes the construction was ongoing but if you can't see past it with a view like that, the issue is not the hotel, stunningl. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to all of the team. KOB KHUN KHRAP.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön. Der Preis für ein Zimmer ist aber zu teuer. Ich würde gern wieder kommen, der Preis ist aber zu teuer.

Building work going on on the beach.. also they claimed I didn’t pay for my lunch with cash and because I had lost the receipt they said it was still outstanding which it most definitely wasn’t but I was ganged up on by restaurant and reception staff and had to leave so had no choice

Die Lage, die angenehme Atmosphäre und die Freundlichkeit vor Ort haben uns erneut begeistert – wir waren nun schon zum dritten Mal hier. Die langen Strände laden zu ausgedehnten Spaziergängen ein, und die Ortschaft verführt mit ihrem wunderbaren Thai-Essen. Das Hotel zeigte sich sehr großzügig im Umgang mit den Unwetterschäden und den daraus notwendigen Anpassungen. Wir erhielten kostenlos Cocktails, Abendessen sowie traditionelle Thai-Massagen.

Am Strand und beim Restaurant gibt es derzeit eine Baustelle. Wir wurden vom Hotel im Voraus darüber informiert. Die Arbeiten sollten ursprünglich Ende September abgeschlossen sein, verzögern sich jedoch aufgrund des vielen Regens voraussichtlich bis Ende Dezember.

Gute Lage ausserhalb des ganzen Rummels - toller Empfang und Frühstücksraum

Ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und Bettwäsche mit Löchern resp. Handtücher mit langen Fransen … Das Peronal im Restauarant war übermotiviert und kann jede Minute nachfragen, ob es noch etwas sein soll (Konsumationsdrang …) Die Bauarbeiten waren angekündigt und dennoch sehr schade …
