Hotel La Vista Azul

Great property that is within walking distance to beach. Located off the main tourist path that allowed for a quiet and relaxing Holiday!

The restaurant owner was excellent and very good food. The hotel front desk people were not nice at all. It seemed like they were annoyed by you as soon as you opened the door.

I really liked my room however it was in building two which required me to climb 76 steps from the reception area to the pool area. The pool was beautifully but it was too cold to swim in. It should have been heated in December. The pools sit in the shade all day, so I was surprised that they were not heated. Lavern and Rhonda were two of the nicest receptionist I have had in a while. Very helpful. And very kind. You need to rent a car if you stay here or expect to pay for rides to other places.

I see how this hotel/motel can keep there prices low at times. The staff for example, Rhonda, are very rude. There is no 24 hour staff, one security for the whole grounds. There was a power outage in the evening and no staff there to report it to.

4pm Check in is late in my opinion 2 or 3 pm would be much more reasonable. Room was extremely clean.

The property itself is ok, nothing fancy! The staff is supper friendly, helpful and professional. The one thing i didn't like is the fact that there's a few buildings that seem to be abandoned and makes the area look a bit getto. There's not enough ilumination in the area around the property, which can make one unconformable walking around. Best decision, rent a car.

No Hot water for two days, move us to another room. Wanted to move back to damaged room

This is a great property if you want to climb ten flights of stairs each time to get your room and want a dead roach in your closet, and used shampoo left from the previous guest left in your bathroom.

I don't like that you are not told about the steps that have to be taken to get to the rooms. The shower water was lukewarm. Towels weren't properly cleaned. There were stains and pieces of hair on towel.
