"Great hotel entirely ruined by charging to park. I wouldn't use again on principal"

Room was good and Breakfast was excellent

Really pissed off by being charged £8 to park. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere on the side of the A12 so it's not like they're going to get other people using the carpark. Just a rip-off to charge

"Nice hotel . Good location . Friendly staff ."

The hotel was near to Ardleigh where we were visiting for a family party . The room was clean and had everything we needed . Reception staff were lovely and very helpful regarding check in and parking etc . We travelled as a group of 9 plus our small dog .

There wasn't anything not to like . Breakfast was a bit of a let down but we had been told the day before that there was a wedding party staying at the Hotel too so it wasn't a surprise .

"Nice comfy hotel with great breakfast"

The staff were very nice and breakfast was very good

Lack of staff in the evening - couldnt eat dinner at the hotel as tbey were quoting 1.5 hours which would be too late. Also lack of experience in the bar as beer pumps leaking and needed changing and no one knew how to sort it

"Great for work in Colchester"

The location was ideal for me and the staff were very friendly

Although meals were offered I thought the menu limited and there were no nearby locations to eat dinner
