Hotel Victoria

Evening menu was very good but somewhat expensive. The room was of a good size with a sea view and was serviced daily. All areas of the hotel have been upgraded to a good standard and retain original character. Staff were professional and always pleasant.

The beds are very comfy. There's a fan and central heating. It's very quiet so very little disturbance. The en suite was clean. There's a telephone you can use to call reception. The staff are polite and attentive, nothing to too much of a bother for them. The tv is a smart tv so you can resume that box set you were watching. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the cast sandy beach with a bus stop outside for services x22 to Norwich via beccles or x99 to southwold via kessingland (for Africa Alive!) And wangford. I didn't use the bar so cannot comment on that. Would I stay here again, yes absolutely. Would I recommend you to book? Yes, do it.

Stayed in room 110 with my partner. First impressions were very good. The staff were lovely and very helpful and checking in was easy. The room itself was large, had comfortable furniture, all the furnishings you'd expect and had an amazing view of the sea. It was so nice seeing the sun come up over the sea in the morning. The only very minor complaint is that the room felt a little dated compared to some places we've stayed however that is really stretching to find something to nitpick about. And even then this was more than made up for by the room being completely immaculate, neither me or my partner could find a spec of dust anywhere. This is the cleanest room we've ever stayed in. The bathroom was the same level of cleanliness but it was more modern with an absolutely huge bath. The restaurant was great too for both breakfast and dinner with a nice menu offering a lot of variety with lots of fresh seafood and local beverages, reasonably priced but once again the staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful. We only stayed 2 nights but would be very happy to come back and stay more genuinely a 5/5 experience.

Booking was easy. Parking was straightforward when I arrived. Customer service was exceptional, including providing a welcome pack in the room with a list of available assistance in the event of a fire, and being able to get extra supplies of milk and drinking chocolate at reception.

We attended their specialty fish menu offering. We went for lunch. A fabulous window table with a sea view. Beautiful, colourful restaurant, linen table cloths and exceptional service from friendly staff. The food was superb. Good sized portions, imaginative menu/accompaniments at a good value price. We're booking their Greek day next. Excellent.

Quirky Seaside Hotel. Right next to the beach

Lovely rooms, plenty of space. Great location.

Room was good with a nice view of the promenade and the sea. Breakfast was good as well.

Such a poor shower. The shower itself was really good but the pressure for the water was terrible.
