Very pleasant stay, friendly helpful staff, Nice room with excellent sea views

Very helpful staff, clean, good breakfast

I loved the food and serving staff...amazing service from beginning to end very attentive. My room was tidy everyday and bed made. The mattress was a coiled mattress and I could feel the coils but overall the bedding was clean and comfortable. Loved the chef Chris the food tasted good.

The windows could do with a clean, bit of mould on the windows.

We have just returned from a 2 night spring break at Hotel Victoria. Lovely location approx 1 mile walk into town along seafront. Warm and friendly atmosphere the minute you walk through the door. Adam and his team are just so welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. Spacious, spotlessly clean bedroom with large ensuite showeroom with spacious walk-in shower. Delicious food and great choice and flexibility if you have a smaller appetite. On Saturday there was a fish special menu to select from which was extremely good value. We had chowder, sardines and fishcakes, followed by monkfish curry, salmon encroute and plaice. All served with varying accompaniments and all cooked to perfection. Cannot wait to return later in the year for the next fish special. This hotel has such a happy atmosphere, it is obvious the staff all work as a team and thoroughly enjoy their jobs, which is a pleasure to see. An all-round great value short break. Look forward to seeing you all again soon and thank you all for your hard work, it really is much appreciated.

All the above very generous portions of food which was really good room was a nice size comfy bed only complaint was the sink in the bathroom it was rather small everything thing else was good

There was nothing not to like staff were really friendly and helpful and everything was really good would definitely stay again and recommend to others only moan was as I said before sink was too small in bathroom

Extremely disappointed with breakfast the egg was full of slop. The muffin wasn’t cooked. Apparently the grill was broken, so I had uncooked eggs Benedict, although I paid for breakfast, it did not eat, no refund offered. Apart from the breakfast, the night doorman was a disaster. He was scruffy, rude and totally without social skills. He made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I do believe the doorman although it’s a Night Shift should still be clean and smart and have people skills.

Night Porter was rude and abrupt very scruffy and scary The shower in room 306 or extremely slow took a long long time to get hot. an uncomfortable shower because no pressure.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Comfortable room, good lighting, very clean. Good wifi, free parking, Beautiful location.

Shower pressure was a bit weak.
