Quayside Hotel

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was at the back of the hotel which we was not expecting. We thought that we had booked sea view room? There was a very large extractor fan outside our window which was very noisy. It started very early in the morning and continued throughout the day. Room 32 I do not recommend. Musty smell in the stairs area but thankfully we had to wear masks so that reduced the smell but it definitely needs attention. Overall decor is very dated and needs a good painting etc. On a positive note the breakfast food and choices were very good. Also we ate in the adjoining Bar on our last evening and the food was lovely. I must also point out that all the staff from Receptionist , waiting staff and the young ladies serving in the pub are a credit to the hotel owners. Nothing was too much trouble for them and as long as we can guarantee a less noisy room we will definitely return.

perfect location and view from the room was picturesque of the bay, would of preferred a double instead of a twin, but the view was worth it, breakfast was perfect, staff so friendly, everything is a 5 minute walk

We stayed in 2 different family rooms across 2 nights. The rooms are very tired and stuffy to the point of being unpleasant. The corridor on the way to the room on the second night smelt of a urinal. Staff are welcoming but can’t actually do anything to improve the situation (no one will ask you how your stay is for fear of response!) We mentioned a noisy extractor that I’m now disappointed to see from other reviews they would have known about.

This is a great location and our room overlooking harbour was worth the extra amount for the view. However, the hotel itself is very tired looking in all areas- rooms, dining room, hallways. Really needs a makeover. Staff lovely though.

The hotel is well positioned. It’s a little tired in decor and parking is a way away. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Good shower room and comfortable bed. Tea and coffee facilities were good. Restaurant quality and service was extremely good. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A really lovely stay.

Great position overlooking harbour

Hotel comfortable and clean staff very friendly and gave good service also location good a special mention to Earl who severed us in the evening in the small sung bar very nice man.

Quirky hotel with lovely harbour views. Rooms a little snug but adequate for our needs. Staff lovely.

had a very pleasant stay, unfortunately I got food poisoning from a prawn - not the hotels fault as this can happen. the food and service were very good and the staff very helpful especially, Earl, who came to my aid when I was taken ill,

Very friendly . Good breakfast. WiFi very patchy through the property. This old building didn’t handle the very hot nights well
