Quayside Hotel

A quaint little hotel. Location fantastic, staff lovely, however my room was ridiculousness hot and the bed was nearly as hard as a floor. I barely slept for 2 nights, which had an overall effect on the quality of the break. Saying this, the staff were lovely and when I explained the fan in my room was dusty and broken, they gave me the office fan. This helped a little bit but the room was like a sauna. Breakfast was great too. Such a shame the room was so awful. I dont think it is fair to have the rooms open on the 2nd floor in the heat of the summer. When I reported this on leaving, I dont think they took any notice. Gutted I paid £200 when I'd have probably found a park bench more comfortable. Unfortunately I won't return.

Great location but you pay the price in terms of noise from outside. The hotel itself was quiet we never heard any of the other residents and our room was over the bar. It was exceptionally hot as the sun comes into the room at full force and the window has a child lock so you can only open one window to about 3 inches. The other two are painted shut. There was a noise from some boiler one morning out of 3. The music from a local bar is loud on a Saturday night and doesn’t stop until 12:30. If you want peace and quiet this isn’t the hotel for you, if you want as a base at the centre of things you will be very happy.

Had a lovely few days here. A great base for exploring Brixham. Friendly staff who were great with my little girl. Lovely breakfast. It’s an old building so expect lots of stairs. The family room was perfect for us. The only down side was the fact it was so hot in our room. The hotel supplied fans thank goodness but it was very warm - can’t do anything about that! The front of the building seemed cooler.

Great location. Food excellent. Staff very friendly. Fabulous view from room. Bed comfortable. Room quite small why only 4/5.

Nice location overlooking the harbour . Restaurant and food was very good with great service The condition of the hotel is poor and is in need of a major update . The room was cramped and bed uncomfortable…

We had the best meal of our trip around Devon at the hotel, the staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
