Location. Ideal for a one night business trip layover.

It’s kerb appeal and general demeanour isn’t great by the standards expected these days. I wouldn’t bring my wife or recommend to friends unless budget was their primary focus. I wasn’t expecting much based on prices and reviews. The entire accommodation building needs taking back to brick and thoroughly modernising but the costs involved would make this unrealistic.

I was doing an event at the Bath and West show ground so it’s a perfect location for shows.

It wasn’t the cleanest, there were shavings of hair in the sink when I got there, very dated with visible ‘damage’, bathroom smelled of smoke, late night LOUD music that makes the floor of the room vibrate and the bed isn’t the comfiest either.

Good location and polite staff

There was no heating and my daughter was cold. No WiFi

Access to the room was via what was originally designed as an emergency exit is now used as the main entrance with very difficult stairs and long corridors with very limited head room it was like an assault course to get to the room. The room was reasonably clean, but the bed was very soft to main points. I didn’t like as there was no thermostatic mixer on the shower however, there was plenty of hot water and the pressure was very good but the emission of a thermostatic mixer made it quite dangerous. The Pat test certificates were illegible. I only looked at these because I was so surprised by the shower mixer. In addition it was a very cold night in the heating was turned off overnight and didn’t come back on until 7 AM which meant I had to get up in the cold.

The property was very outdated, it could do with a renovation.

The location was perfect for what we needed. The food was good value . Easy to gain access through the night .

The room could of been better. Toilet roll around edge of window to stop drafts. Valance sheet on bed had bleach stains. Room needed updating and wifi didn't reach the rooms .
