The Highwayman Inn

Very happy bar food last night were very nice. I love the curry. I will go back there for a curry again. I would tell other people to go there.

The Inn does not provide breakfast. The lunch and evening menu is good with large portions. I had the Gammon on Sat evening and it was at least 12mm thick and from their local butcher / supplier Lovely. The staff (family run) know us well as we attend the South West motor cycle show every year. They always look after us and are very pleasant. Also they put on a real ale and this time it was from a local brewery. The eating area is within the pub bar area/lounge which is fine. The bike show caterers provide a good small breakfast for £9.50. If you want a large its £12.00. It is also a good locals pub and we always engage in conversation with them. It all helps towards the atmosphere which is great fun.

The accommodation is "basic" but clean and tidy. It is very good value for money!! One issue (not a complaint) is attention to detail concerning basic maintenance ie electric towel rail not working, toilet roll holder missing, light above shavers mirror above sink not working. Regular checking and feedback to management could easily resolve.

The room was very tried and could do with an update. The shower was disgusting so we didn’t feel like using it.
