Surprisingly nice room, spacious and comfortable.

Really steep steps and maze of corridors, with low headroom to get to my room.

What breakfast they don't do breakfast.

Having stayed here several times over the past few years I was disappointed in the overall condition of the hotel. The room was bland; no bedside lamp; dust on most surfaces; the sheet on the bed had a tear in it; the bathroom was not well maintained . They have removed WiFi access from the rooms and the only access is in the main bar/ public area. All the carpets are well pass sell by date! And the room was totally over priced. If travelling for work and internet access is required …. Simply avoid!

I stopped for one night after a long drive. It was easy to check in, the staff were friendly, the room was warm, and it had a good shower.

The shower was really mouldy room was very small and bed wasn’t very comfortable

Located a short distance to Wells and Bath which is why we chose it, you get what you pay for, it was a cheap room for the night, ate in the pub, massive portions, good pub grub, nothing fancy. The room was a lovely big size, nice and warm, several tea bags and milks to use not just the usual 2 and a proper kettle made me happy. powerful shower and a nice big bathroom. If you are looking for a cheap night, cheap pub food and arent bothered about the aesthetics of your room, its perfect. If you want a special night away in a nice hotel, its not that.

The room was just incredibly dated but this was reflected in the price. It was clean just old carpets, horrid wallpaper, no headboard on the bed and a random light switch by the pillows I kept knocking in the night. Bathroom had years old black mould on sealant etc, again just dated.
