Great location, especially if you are planning on spending the evening at the Cavan Club.

It’s good place for one night so

Firstly got changed £1 as you expect to put a card on record for the room but after never got it returned. The room was on the first floor you do expect some noise being in the city before 12am as we could hear the base from the pub below which was tolerable but the main noise which kept me awake was from the bathroom fan extractor which made a noise even when it was off. Also the room was cold as the air conditioning didn't work properly but the staff did try and rectify the issue by providing us with heaters. Overall the place is fine if you want to get drunk in the city and come back late so the noise from the bathroom doesn't wake you up in the night.

Writing this review as simply we can't sleep. Noise from neighbouring night club is horrendous. Very deep bass music. To the point we have booked another hotel for our second night. Street noise, from people walking past is just as bad. Shame as location & staff seem very good. Avoid. Gutted.

Another very comfortable and pleasant stay. Staff always friendly and helpful. Ideal location for attractions/shops/restaurants.

The hotel is not 4 star, it was warm, clean in the entrance staff lovely. The entrance door was closed so you would not know if it was open. The stair ways smelt awful. When we checked in and went to our room there was a man with a dress in gown on wandering around did not look like a tourist. The room was clean and large. The bathroom needed repair the toilet seat was loose and the shower door did not close, the sealant was very poor. The door don’t close and had paint peeling off. The bed was big and comfy. No cleaning or towel change whilst we were there very unusual for a 4 star property. Stayed in better 2 stars will not be returning,

I stayed here in December for 5 nights (business trip). I travelled with a colleague who was staying in a standard room (like myself) on the floor above. The hotel looks beautiful and is extremely well situated, just a few minutes walk from Albert Dock. The reception area of the hotel is nice and the staff are polite and welcoming. Unfortunately the compliments end here. The room I was in located at the front of the hotel on the second floor. It appears well cleaned however not well looked after, stains over the walls and ceiling. The windows are rotten and constantly covered in condensation. This causes a massive issue with noise. I have never stayed in a hotel where every morning at 4am followed by 5am you are awoken by the neighbouring pub either receiving a beer delivery or recycling glass bottles (in a truck). This was so loud that on the first night I nearly fell out of bed wondering what the loud noise was. This recycle process lasts around 5 minutes however around an hour later a delivery truck (most mornings) drops off kegs, this also being noisy lasts around 20mins, by which point I was wide awake and had given up trying to sleep. The bathroom was again, clean, however desperately in need of some TLC. Unfortunately, although I will be returning to this area a few times over the next 12 months I will choose to stay elsewhere. I have been exhausted all week due to the lack of sleep which kind of defeats the point of a hotel! I would suggest the photos on the companies website were taken some time ago, perhaps when the hotel had last had a refurbishment. The photos I looked at certainly did not reflect the reality. My colleague on the floor above had the exact same issues.

Location is perfect central to everything Rooms are ok but nothing special Service pretty rubbish. Stayed 3 nights and room never cleaned or towels changed despite putting the clean my room sign on the room door and advising reception Basic expectation of a hotel is clean towels and the room made up if you pay for it Very disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone else
