Sheraton Wuxi Binhu Hotel

I’m writing to share my dreadful experience while staying at the Sheraton Wuxi Binhu property on April 5th, 2019. As this stay was booked on my behalf, understand I was not able to apply my Bonvoy membership. Regardless, this type of lackluster service is unacceptable for any client-type bearing elite status or not. Referring to my stay confirmation, clearly my room type is non-smoking. However, I was placed in a smoking room. After washing up, I realizing the abominable odor, and air condition unable to provide cooling temperature, I requested to switch room. I was placed in a non-smoking room and I quickly went to sleep as I have an early morning meeting. At the moment, the room temperature was at 24 degrees Celsius, and I lowered the thermometer to 20 degrees. Thereafter, two hours from my initial adjustment, the temperature remained at 24 degrees and I was unable to sleep due to the room being too hot and humid. I called the front desk requesting facilities to check on the air condition. The front desk sent over a technician, who told me to open the window instead. Flabbergasted, I requested him to check the air condition as I don’t believe opening the window will solve the issue (considering the AQI was at an alarming 163-I’d breathing toxic air). The technician did a brief checkup and told me it’s now fixed and proceeded to open the window. It is now 2:30AM, and I’m exhausted from my commute. The temperature dropped a mere 1 degree and I no longer have the energy to pursue any further objections. All in all, I was unable to sleep the entire night causing me extreme fatigue the following day. As a loyalty member, I hold Marriott to its highest standards. This is unacceptable for any client staying at Marriott properties.

I’ve had a short stay during a business trip at this hotel. The loudspeakers that greet you upon arrival outside and inside the vast lobby are refreshingly amusing. The rooms are clean and with the amenities you’d expect with a functional 5* class hotel.

I have been here at least 4 times and I highly recommend it for your visit too because the food and the staff are very nice. If you need anything like place to visit they help you with the taxi and make sure you get to your destination :) Recommended

I was here for 3 days on business visit. The check in was very smooth and the room very comfortable. Met the Sheraton standard.. However the breakfast area seems to be under pressure... when I got up to get some more food, on my return I find that my table was cleared... all plates removed, full cup coffee off .. worst my medicines, tablets taken and dumped..!!!! I made a complaint and the reply was - we have trainees working and he must have cleared..!!! This surely is not Sheraton standard... Ms. Joan Yang walked in and tried to control the situation.. but I had already lost my daily dose of medicine, which I carried counted for each day out... One of those days... The rest of the stay was good and location next to a Mall, very convenient. The Line 2 metro station was 3 minutes walking distance. So good location and good rooms.. lacking in some service area...

Excellent location, condition and service. Breakfast buffet is one of best I have ever had in all hotels. It is next to a shopping mall with many food options. It is close to major tourist attractions, including Tihu and HuiShanGuZheng. It is not in the Wuxi downtown, but not far from it. Walking distance to subway station which takes to the train station. The hotel sent some one to buy train tickets for us, which is really nice. A nice hotel to stay for Wuxi.

Hotel room 5* Hotel 3* - smoking drives me crazy Service 5* Lounge ~ so so This hotel is wonderful. Their staffs are attentive and great service. Sometime, a bit of difficulty in communication but that's expected when a guest in foreign country. Can't expect the host to speak my language. The Chinese restaurant on site has some great dishes. The smoking ~ drives me but. People smoke everywhere and anywhere. The Chinese does not seem to care about 2nd hand smoke. One time a family with kids waiting elevator and this dude smokes, try to tell him but can't get the communication through. This hotel would be great if they limit smoke to certain floor only. Also, when exercise, you can smell smoke coming in from the hallway. Not a good thing when you breath hard. I had a no smoking room but there are ashtrays everywhere however room does not smell cigarette. Wish they will change their smoking policy.

Stayed in this hotel several times for business trip purposes, welcome and recognition of SPG platinum level never on expected level. Very disappointed customer relationship,there are definitely better Marriott Reward choices in and around Wuxi.

I have had the good fortune of being able to work in many different countries and have stayed in many hotels. My business travels have taken me to places such as: Israel, Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, England, Australia, Austria, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Argentina, Japan etc... Of all those countries and hotels visited I have NEVER been so pleased! The staff of the Wuxi Sheraton is an exceptional gem!!! The hotel facilities are incredibly clean and grand. But the gems are the people who are the staff that makes this hotel unlike any that I have ever visited! I think that the Sheraton in Wuxi is the best in THE WORLD... really do!

Very good hotel!

Wuxi is a place with many factories so pollution index always high, so opening the little window is not so appealing. Hence the guest should be enabled to select the ambient temperature of choice But not so in this Sheraton, where I am left gasping for breath in minimun 25 cel Apart from that mayor setback, smaller details as usual in room, insufficient coffee as usual, only two free mineral water, luke warm water spewing from shower head.. Positive side: good gym, with Technogym equipment, as always Sheraton Fitness is mojor reason stay at Sheratons in CN as the local CN hotels have no idea what a gym is. Staff friendly, good no-smoking policy, nice breakfast, great check in staff
