Grand Hotel Royal E Golf

Breakfast was exceptional. Porter so helpful and the navette super fast. We had dinner at the restaurant one night. Food was great and we ordered a great Nebbiolo from Langhe Vietti at 70 euros!! Bar is cosy and staff very friendly. Beds are great. Room had little balcony. And used the spa on Sunday. Very nice!

It is a bit pricy, but for us two it was a good deal!

Location

Needs modernisation- card keys, decor, plug sockets, spa Expected support with ski passes as other 4* hotels in the area do. Paid extra for a smaller room only to be told reason it was deluxe was the view of Mont Blanc Bar prices ridiculously expensive compared to other hotels in resort.

This hotel located in the best part of the town. Exceptional restaurant. Staff is very friendly and went above and beyond for our small request. Definitely recommend this hotel

Central Location, beautiful lounge and exceptional breakfast! The outdoors pool for a winter swim was an extra luxury.

The fact that their shuttle service is only to one ski lift. We were at a different ski lift which is only minutes away and they refused to pick us up. We explained to them that we only use that lift and they insisted on not picking us up although we had seen all the other hotel shuttles pick up from the same place. So we had to arrange our own transportation which made no sense. On a single instance we had asked the hotel to prebook us a taxi and when the time came - they couldn't book it and said "just this time we will make an exception to drop you" felt so awkward like they were doing us a favor. That said, the gentleman who drove us and was always by the reception seemed to be the best trained at customer service. He was attentive and always had a smile and ready to help. I would not say the same about most of the other reception staff who would not make eye contact, or while on the phone put up a finger signalling us to wait to pick up our keys. At one instance the older gentleman who drove us saw us standing there and felt he had to intervene and went in to call another receptionist. I must add the bar/lounge Argentinian staff were all amazing and made our every visit to the bar a joy!

The staff are very friendly and the bar and restaurant are nice but the rest of the hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment

Great stuff, great facilities, great food. The breakfast and the breakfast room are a sight to behold. In short a warm feeling of being pampered at home.
