Beautiful views of the lake from our room! The front desk staff was super friendly and enthusiastic to help with any questions we had during our stay. Definitely will return!

Communication of restaurant staff and dishes were dirty

Hotel room was terribly dirty, doorknob was broken, sheets were stained with mystery brown stains, the floor was wet, smelled weird, and the room was very dusty. The woman at the front desk was very kind and respectful when we told her we did not want to stay there, however. I did not get her name, but she was one of the only pluses to come out of our experience.

This hotel & event center is in a State forest & camping reserve directly on Lake Michigan. Beautiful Sandy shoreline from Wisconsin to miles south. The property & hotel was inundated during a horrific storm some yrs ago. So it is a work in progress now. The main floor is clean & wery nice with restaurant & bar overlooking the lake. Patios for outside dining. Serving hrs are limited at this time. Chef with delicious food. Staff super friendly & accomadating. Housekeeping staff could use an overseer & nudge. Rooms are ideal with plans for renovating them. This hotel has been here for 40 plus yrs. So peaceful walking trails, swimming.

We booked a lake view room for our anniversary instead we got room with no lake view , when asked the front desk to switch rooms, they said no guarantee for lake view. Anniversary got ruined
