White Hart Hotel

The White Hart was really lovely and luxurious. Especially with the staff who were always happy to help. It’s a place we will stay again.

Lucked out with a lovely room looking over the street. Comfortable, clean and central. Great bathroom and lots of little touches

one night stay (22/02/2025). The doorman and check in staff were really friendly. Found out the hotel was recently refurbished. It looked really clean and had a homely character. Really cool feature was the framed pictures of their archives including ledgers and historical photos of the hotel, which they had found in a storeroom during the renovation. We stayed in Room 103 on the first floor facing the main street. It is a gorgeous cosy and large room. The bathroom was spectacular, it had a shower space and a separate bath! If I stayed longer I would have tried out the bath. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night sleep. Room temperature was perfect. The only minor issue was because the windows were not double glazed we could hear conversations and noise from the street. Fortunately it was not constant. Breakfast was good. Had the full English breakfast. Large portions and they came out pretty quickly after ordering. Very good selection of bread, pastries, jams, juices and cereal. Attentive and friendly staff.

- Had to argue for some taster dishes after putting a deposit down on the venue. This should be standard practise for wedding events. - Wedding/ events manager is passive aggressive with zero people skills. Also actively complaining to our guests about irrelevant issues. Only to cause embarrassment and frustration. Totally unprofessional. - Food quantity on the day was short and left many guests without food. - Staff inexperienced and lack of forward thinking with hosting guests. Not clearing up crockery/ glasses until being prompted. Not even water on the tables. - The whole experience was a full on embarrassment.

Stunning location, fabulous food and friendly staff. Will definitely stay again. Best vegetarian Sunday roast dinner I’ve had in years! Thank you.
