Location is good. There is a Cafe, Brot Co, attached to the premises, which is good and very popular. Couple of good restaurants in the vicinity.

The pillows.....definitely need to be more comfortable.

My first visit to Jaipur on my own, I wanted a safe and comfortable, non fussy place to stay, well located, clean, and close to main attractions. I got all this and more at Barwara Kothi. Deepali the owner is herself warm and very welcoming, prompt on email/whatsapp. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Bathrooms have extra space for paraphernalia. Ground floor rooms open up onto a pretty garden where you can spend a relaxing evening over a cup of tea or snack. Breakfast is wholesome and ample...Indian breads, poha, meusli, juice, cut fruit, etc. Lunch and dinner can also be had if Deepali is intimated in time. Staff is very courteous and eager to please. Dont hesitate to ask for Mr.Babbu if you want a reliable car service ..Deepali has the number. Definitely my first choice going forward.

I stayed at this homestay as they call it in india. Compared to the noise and tumult of any indian city, this is a haven of quiet and calm. There is a garden providing greenery, flowers and a fountain, many lovely works of art, lovely indian food for breakfast and lunch and the opportunity to meet interesting people from all over the world who seem to come back time after time.

Very centrally located home stay. Very clean and tidy. However the better rooms very occupied which were on the 1st floor, hence felt the price a bit high for the room we got.

We stayed for 3 nights at this place. It’s an old boutique place with a rich history and very well furnished rooms. The owner Mrs Deepali Singh was kind enough to give us an early check in at around 9am. Kishore the cook did an amazing job catering to our requests. The lawn outside is very well maintained. We visited this place as it got referred to a friend of mine who has stayed with them twice in the past. Obviously, his choice was great for us as well and we would highly recommend it to all our friends.

A most pleasant stay. The hotel made our stay in Jaipur ever the more enjoyable. They hooked us up with the best tour guide ever and were always there to help us when needed. The room was sumptuous, as was the food. It was a 10 all round! Would definitely go back!

Loved this place. Nicest example of a restored older building we saw in Jaipur (except for the art deco cinema!). Owner extremely welcoming (though the rest of the staff could be a little friendlier), breakfast fantastic (the home made bread!), HUGE lovely room with a beautiful en-suite, and really good value. It's on a bit of a noisy junction, but our room was peaceful. A pleasure to stay here. Recommended.

Excellent place for a family outing. We were a large group and took 8 rooms. The hotel was good enough to give us rooms on the top floor so we could gather in the homely drawing room without disturbing other guests. The food was homely and out of this world. Its the kind of food that you can have everyday without getting bored unlike bigger hotels with their sharp taste food. Deepali Singh made us feel as we were living in a friends house.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The value was astounding for our trip, and the stay was incredible. Every aspect of the experience was above and beyond our expectations, a refreshing oasis for foreigners who are unfamiliar with India's unique travel language. First, the structure and rooms are aesthetically reminiscent to only the best parts of colonial design. However, do not let this discourage you into thinking this is an inauthentic experience, as the staff, service, and food were absolutely the best India has to offer. Concerning the food, I would recommend dining in the hotel at least once during your stay. They served fantastic and authentic Indian food, making us feel right at home. The only minor issues we had were a few lapses in hot water delivery, but you can call the desk to remedy this.

Enjoyed our peaceful stay here with helpful staff. Lovely rooms and was centrally located. Deepali was specially very helpful.She even provided sandwiches for our morning flight. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
