The food choice wasn’t great if you didn’t like wagyu rice or pasta you would go hungry not the menu we were expecting in a country house hotel nothing Scottish on offer

"Lovely and relaxing with a traditional authentic aged appeal."

A lovely relaxing hotel. It does have some thread bare carpets, but so what, it is a beautiful relaxing authentic country hotel with old wood paneling and traditional country charm. The staff were also super nice, top marks. My 87 year old mother loved it.

Paying extra for the cooked breakfast.

I liked the location of the hotel . I enjoyed a nice walk along the river. The staff were very friendly and I was was pleased to find a fan in the room as it was quite warm and night

I expected to have a full breakfast included in the price . I think it should be stated on the website that a continental breakfast is included but there is a additional charge for a cooked breakfast .

Lovely calm atmosphere

Nothing has changed or upgraded since our last visit (18months ago).... We commented on ensuite door sticking ........ Also,half bulbs in chandelier light fitting either missing or 'dead'...... Constant (low level) electrical hum rather off putting at night! Room -hawthorn.
