KTDC Chaithram Trivandrum

I have stayed in the Hotel on 25th and 26th of May 2016. The Infrastucture is good, Hotel placed in the heart of the city . But the service is below average. Typical Govt depts attitude. Rooms are not cleaned . Bath rooms are also of same condition. Break fast is of good quality. If complained, staff are not bothered. That callous attitude explains the poor occupancy eventhough the hotel is placed in prime location. It is suggested that Kerala Govt should hand over the premise to private parties who can maintain the hotel. It is a shame on the part tourism dept that they cannot run the hotel in decent standard levels that too in the capital city of TVM.

The staff here were very accommodating and helped with any questions, the hotel needs a little tlc and a bit of freshening up, the room itself was not what we were expecting there were deadbolts on all of the doors we found ourselves using them as well. Its on a busy road so the traffic can be loud. All in all our stay here was okay. In the future we would probably stay elsewhere but it did its job for us whilst we were there. The tour office next door is good but theres lots of extra costs so if you use them make sure you take extra cash to get into places etc. And if you stay here you cant be afraid of bugs but that may have been the heat?

+ The Hotel was near to Trivandrum city. It is walkable distance to Railway Station , KSRTC new Bus stand , SETC buses ( Tamil Nadu Buses ) & about 1 km to Padmanabha Swamy Temple . + Low Room Rent - No Hot water - Mosquitoes - Far from Kovalam Beach

i just go to tvm as a outing with family,previously we decide to visit all temple.i think temples like padmanba,pazvgdi,attukl,all are walking distance from the hotel,or accessing ksrtc or auto is very simple.staff,room, ,breakfast are good .etc........

ideal for family but romm maintenance must improve

Hotel stay is good, but we could not find a good and decent rated Restaurant near by. Breakfast at the hotel is good. Just 5 minutes walk from the station allows for a good time to stay before the train journey.

Value for Money; Good Breakfast; Good restaurant with decent food...

We will stay for one day and it is pleasure to say that room is good and every facilities near the hotel, like railway stn, mandir, market and ten minutes away Airport. I recommed the hotel for stay

Plus point of the hotel is that its near to trivendrum central railway station and KSRTC bus stand.. good rooms but old furniture.. overall hotel is good for stay.
