"Good location, friendly staff, but a low quality hotel"

Friendly staffs, convenient location.

The room is a bit old, the bed is rusted, stains on the cushions. The washroom smells like urine which is the biggest problem for me. We can hear the laundry machine running outside from our room in the night.

The location of the hotel is great, right next to the popular streets of Gion

The room could have been cleaner and smelled a little. They can’t keep the luggage after checkout which is quite inconvenient and I wish some backup solution was offered.
