Extremely large front facing room with excellent views. Very clean & superb large comfortable bed. Extremely helpful receptionist on check-in & check-out.

Unable to park at the hotel due to a folk festival event. No lift to room on the second floor.

Excellent location, friendly, helpful staff, food was good, fantastic breakfast.

I hadn't realised the Folk festival was on, I couldn't park in the car park because of this and I wasn't made aware of it until the week of our stay. The reason I booked was so I wouldn't struggle to park. That said, I managed to get in the Coop, £6.90 for 24 hours 😊

Nature of older building resulted in a lot of noise pollution. Floorboards exceedingly creaky and walls thin so disturbed throughout, including during the night, by neighbours movements, TV and talking. Guests need to be advised to use earplugs. Weak water flow for shower. Room in need of cosmetic update. Felt overpriced compared to others in the Coaching Inn Group. More a pub with rooms rather than a hotel/Inn.
