Efficient and excellent staff with good food

Great location

Rooms were a touch dark but overall well lit for such a historical building.

The restaurant staff were lovely, as were the bar staff too.

I had some medication that needed to be kept chilled. I had hoped there'd be a fridge in the room but there wasn't so I asked the Manager if he could store it in one of his fridges but was told that this would not be possible. I said I had a contingency plan should this be the case, and that was to ask for a bucket filled with ice and he assured me this would not be a problem. When the ice pack had completely thawed that I put the meds on whilst travelling 5hrs to the hotel, I asked a member of the restaurant staff for an ice bucket (having explained my situation) and was told it would not be a problem for them to put it in one of their fridges. I dont know why the manager could not accommodate my request when I explained my predicament to him.

Our room was small , with small high windows

Breakfast good eggs turned over on request and refill of drinks Pastries and bread taken away before we had finished eating

Supply of fruit and pastries

Very central and parking was excellent. Decent bar and the food was good. Great breakfast.

Rooms are fine but warm as you need to keep the windows closed due to noise from bars close by.
