Great location. Fabulous breakfast.

Room too warm, couldn't open the window and wouldn't have wanted to due to street noise.

The staff were fantastic

The room, apart from having to negotiate four sets of stairs and four fire doors the room was cramped, extremely hot, the only way to cool it was to open the sky light and then you got the noise from outside. The bathroom with a shower over the bath has seen better days and you had to sit sideways on the toilet as it was too close to the wall and the heated towel rail was right in front of it. The toilet roll holder was tilted down so the slightest touch knocked the roll off. The restaurant was one reason we booked the hotel as we wouldn't have to find somewhere to eat, the menu was restricted and everything was sold as high quality haute cuisine but crispy scampi for a starter was just scampi and would be better as a main. I had the buttermilk chicken burger on day one and it was two very chunky pieces of chicken in breadcrumbs with trimmings it was awful, the chicken seemed to have a jelly like substance in between the breadcrumbs and chicken, I had to cut around it.

Central location, car parking, comfortable quiet room with tea making facilities. Slept well, black out blinds and curtains, good hot shower. Easy check in. Good price

So friendly , comfortable and a brilliant location.
