Comfortable stay for a small family..Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

Really enjoyed our stay. Lots of space in the family room.

This motel is not for me and my partner ,the minute we enter the room , We got ichy eyes and runny nose , We found out later that , this motel is animal friendly . Maybe before us, they did not clean properly? Anyway I would not recommend people that got allergy or sensitive.

Rotorua is an awesome place to visit, heaps to do. This lodge is handy to everything. Excellent service by Terry, the lady who runs it. Very tidy room and comfortable bed.

You can see geyser from the motel. The lady who owns it is very nice and helped us a lot with every thing we needed. It is close to the town center. We got a 2 bedrooms unit for 4 adults and 3 kids. It was great to stay there.

The ladies at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I left my jackets at the hotel and they offered to mail them to me if I send them a self addressed envelope. I haven't managed to get to the post office during opening hours to make the arrangements but I am grateful for the offer.

Excellent hotel for reasonable price. Interior a bit dated but well-maintained and comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

This motel wasn't bad value for the money. We only stayed one night. The unit was spacious but average quality. We had booked the Heavenly Heights suite, but had been moved to another room (which was cheaper on the booking site). We were told this was because the second room was better suited to our needs, and it probably was as it had 3 beds for the kids rather than them sharing a queen and a single, but to be told that the motel doesn't guarantee the room that you book through wotif was a bit of a surprise to us (and not something we had encountered before, especially when the rooms are advertised for different rates). The motel had Sky TV advertised, but it wasn't available. And a first for us, we ran out of hot water after 2 showers in the morning. But you get what you pay for, and we literally needed a place to stay for 1 night in Rotorua, and this fit the bill in that respect.

When we took our family holiday, we needed somewhere to stay that could cater for my family of 6 and Pohutu lodge was perfect. The loveliest host, he greeted us with a warm welcoming smile. He suggested the best places to visit, as well as offered to direct us to places we have never visited. The room was clean and comfortable, and offered the best prices to suit my budget. I will definitely be making this place my home away from home every time we visit Rotorua. Highly recommended.
