Casa del Rio Melaka

We spent a very enjoyable 3 nights at the Casa del Rio in September during a trip to South East Asia. Although we were early, the drive up from Singapore having taken less time than we thought, the check in was seamless and we were welcomed personally and seated with cold towels and a refreshing ginger sorbet in the airy lobby. While we waited half an hour for our room to be ready, we explored the ground floor and rested in the small but well appointed Library, where we enjoyed the complimentary Nespresso coffee. Our room was cool and very comfortable with a small balcony which proved to be a comfortable place to sit in the early mornings and evenings. As it was a corner room we could look over the courtyard and the river. The bathroom was spotless and efficient. We were anxious to try the wide variety of Nyonya and Peranakan food Melaka has to offer, so we only dined in the hotel on our first evening, when heavy rain made going elsewhere unappealing. The service was charming and the food perfectly adequate. We particularly liked the live entertainment - such a pleasant change from the ubiquitous piped music so often found in hotel restaurants! The buffet breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of European and Asian foods and excellent coffee! The rooftop pool was delightful - very big and with a superb view down the river and out into the Straits. A very pleasant place to spend a lazy afternoon! The Casa del Rio is very conveniently situated within walking distance of historical Melaka. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it to others! Hope we can come back before too long!

Casa Del Rio Melaka does not disappoint. The location of the hotel is at a prine location by the riverside. The staffs there are exceptional. They were friendly, attentive and made our stay much more welcomed. The rooms was spacious and well designed. The breakfast was good. You could even take the cruise from the hotel's own jetty.

First of all, I would like to thank all the staff for their consistently friendly and helpful attitude. The room was clean and comfortable. Unlike a typical modern business hotel, the room had a wonderful, historical atmosphere.Both the local food and the European-style breakfast options were excellent.If I had to make any suggestions, I would say that a larger bed would have been appreciated, and better soundproofing would have been nice, especially since there was a lot of noise from the market late into the night.

I was very satisfied with my stay. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. I made wonderful memories staying at this hotel ❤️

We stayed at Casa Del Rio Residence, Melaka, from 13–17 September 2025 and had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful and well maintained, making it the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The staff were warm and friendly throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality truly made our experience even more memorable. Casa Del Rio has always been our first choice whenever we visit Melaka, and we look forward to coming back again. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful and memorable 2 nights stay at Casa Del Rio Melaka with my spouse. The hotel provides a basement parking with security guard on duty. Upon arrival, we recieved a warm welcome, complete with cold towel and a refreshing lime sorbet. Check in was a breeze and the staff, Mr Mohd Qayyum's briefing was very detailed and informative. He even personally bring us to our room and provided us with a room tour. He even helped me plan for my spouse birthday surprise. It turned out well and my wife was very happy. Room service was punctual and the food at the restaurant was nice. Hotel location was just a 5 mins walk to Jonker Walk and along the Melaka river. It is also near some interesting places of interest such as Dataran Pahlawan. Hotel rated 5 star and simply is up to its rating. Hotel staff was always with smiles and greet us promptly. Will definitely return for a quick getaway.

My group of 45pax has just done the corporate event there for 2d1n. They are all happy with the experiences in the hotel in terms of the hotel facilities, food, services, friendliness and helpfulness of the hoteliers. It's a sincere recommended location to spend your holiday there. It's near to Jonker Night Market too.

In Room 106, aircon was extremely cold and unadjustable. No hot water in the bathroom, just lukewarm. The handheld shower could not be pulled free. Wash basin drainage needed cleaning.

Had a fairly good experience in the 3 nights hotel stay. The reception staffs were friendly and polite. They were responsive and attended to my queries accordingly. I would like to compliment one of their dining staff Mr Haffis who was very attentive and serve diners whole-heartedly. He is courteous and polite. He knows most of the hotel patrons who ordered morning breakfast sets. He chatted and engaged with patrons and understand their preference in meals. Please convey my appreciation to Mr Haffis and his team for my 3 days breakfast in the hotel. I will definitely recommend Casa del Rio and return for my next stay in Melaka.
