"Disgusting"

1.0

The staff are friendly. Thats it.

I've thought long and hard about what to do because I dont like to leave bad reviews but to be honest, I dont know how you have the front to Charge £89 for a room! I stayed a few weeks ago in room 11, which was fairly decent aside from the shower room/toilet which is falling apart and full of mold and clearly not been cleaned properly in months. But the staff were friendly enough and I thought for the convenience of it for my travel, I'd give it another go. What an error. Room two this time and I was actually speechless. The TV was left on the adult channel when I turned it on, which is gross, but just the start. The mold all over the ceiling, the smell of cigarettes com8ng in even with the windows shut, the shower clearly not even rinsed as there was shower gel all over it, the shower room and toilet clearly not cleaned in months, mold and grime everywhere, the carpet not even hoovered, the coffee machine beyond gross, the kettle full or limescale and one of the shower gels on the bed was half used!!! Would you sleep here? It was gross, I was so disgusted I didn't even shower because it was so gross... and I dont even want to think when the towels and bedding were probably last cleaned. Thank god I bring my own pillow and an empty duvet cover for hot nights, I slept inside the duvet cover with my pillow on top of the bed because I couldn't bear what might be in it.

"Waardeloos"

4.0

Ontbijt was in een nabijgelegen ander hotel

Hygiene van douche en toilet waren verschrikkelijk. Over schimmel.

"Overall an enjoyable stay. Great location"

7.0

Great location and a good pub. Decent selection of beers.

Shower room worked with a macerator and there was an odour issue with the shower drain.

"Good value accommodation and really helpful staff - thank you!"

8.0

The pub is a lovely place to stay and the staff are really friendly and helpful. They were able to book us in for breakfast in a nearby inn as the kitchen was temporarily out of service, but this worked very well. Be prepared for the rooms upstairs to be a bit wonky - this is a historic building!

Only regret is that we didn't make more use of the bar - we tried lots of the other pubs and this one was the nicest!

"Cosy and good value for money."

7.0

Definitely enjoyed the stay. Lovely staff working there. The bed was very cosy and had a lot of character. Could make ourselves a nice cup of coffee in the room and bring any drinks from downstairs to the room. Bar area was also great, especially the garden.

Main concern was cleanliness of the shower. Also did hit my head on the ridiculously low door but to be fair there was a warning sign!
