The breakfast was excellent and the lady who made it and served it was a credit to the pub

No heating throughout our entire stay. Told staff twice to turn it on but to no avail

Great location,. Breakfast was great, we were welcomed by the chef who cooked us an excellent breakfast. He was friendly and ensured that all guests were well looked after in the restaurant.

Stairs to the room were accessed via a door in the pub courtyard. When busy this gets blocked by people and chairs. The stairs are very steep but there is no handrail in situ. The balustrade alongside the top of the staircase is dangerously loose. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, it felt like a thin or worn out mattress. A wooden ceiling beam near the window was over one side of the bed, giving very restricted headroom that side of the bed. The worst bed we have ever tried to sleep in. The en-suite is accessed via 3 awkward steps. The basin taps are loose, so they rotate when trying to use them and the basin plug was missing. The basin drain pipe connected to the trap under the sink leaked onto the floor in front of the pedestal and through the floor under the basin. The shower cubicle frame was corroded and filthy, obviously not been cleaned for a long time. The shower unit would not supply any warm water, the mixer unit stopped working when turning the temperature up. The en-suite sliding door was very stiff and screeched when moved.The floor under the vinyl covering was collapsing in front of the WC
