"A great old pub with a lot of charm - perfectly suitable for an overnight stay when visiting old fri"

Staff super friendly, great room and delicious breakfast.

Bathroom quite tired, door didn’t close sufficiently leaving approx 2 inch gap. Luckily we’re old friends and used to being up close and personal, but definitely would put people off due to lack of privacy.

Courtesy of staff was very good, breakfast was very good athough a better choice of cereals would have been nicer.

Room was a bit "tired". Shower leaked onto floor. Toilet flush kept sticking. Mould around shower and plaster had fallen from ceiling. Very dusty and bitty around tops of skirting board. The Room was very noisy as it opened straight onto the stree This was Room no 12.

It’s a good location, bar is great fun with helpful team.

Our room was freezing and breakfast was cancelled with no discount offered and with no notice. The breakfast had always been fantastic and something we look forward to.

A comfortable bed

No breakfast or dinner available as advertised. The room i booked had no hot water so i was moved to another room at additional cost. The cleaners clearly smoke in the room as it smelled of tobacco and tobacco was left on the side next to the bed.

"Rebooked a different hotel"

The stairs were so steep it felt unsafe to climb them we were going to a wedding so getting dreesed up and it would have been impossible choking up and down them. the room had very low doorways which is not comfortable for someone who is tall. we had to find another hotel. We have asked for a refund but the hotel has refused booking.com and ignored all communication with them
