Hotel Le Grand Chalet Gstaad

Qiuick stop In Gstaad whole taking the Golden Pass Line to Montreaux. Hotel was very lovely with super nice staff. I emailed our train time and the picked us up. Beautiful view from terrace, went to dinner and it was excellent. Great breakfast too. I’d stay here any time!

This hotel was a great find on TripAdvisor ,great location with the great views of the alps. Friendly staff who also chauffeured the guests to and fro from gstaad village. The only problem I had with this hotel was the limited vegetarian options that the kitchen had to offer.

Cosy and comfortable hotel with a very friendly and professional staff. The rooms are rather simple, some with a gorgeous view overlooking the valley. The restaurant is excellent and offers a good variety of food. Very good wine list. Perfect for a small break

We stayed there 3 nights right before Christmas. The room was large, clean, cozy with an exceptional view from our balcony. The buffet breakfast was very good. The staff was superb. Carole runs the front and is extremely competent and helpful as were the other staff members. She made sure we had sandwiches ready when we left because the dining room was not open yet as we left very early. She even wrapped a gift for me so I could surprise my fiancé. There is a complimentary shuttle to take you into town whenever you want to go. Carole gave us dinner suggestions and made arrangements so we could play tennis. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was our favourite of our trip across Switzerland... The staff are so nice and helpful... nothing is too much for them. They all seem genuinely happy and enthusiastic about their job and helping you. We saved so much money on taxis as the staff drove us everywhere. The rooms are large and spacious with great natural light and a large out door balcony. We originally booked for one night but decided to stay 3. We visited the larger "fancier" hotels but this one has a warm home like feeling to it. I highly recommend and will only come back here when we visit again.

It was my first time in Gstaad for a 10 night business trip and I absolutely loved it!! This little gem is high up in the Swiss Alps with beautiful rooms (only the mattress is a little hard), EXCELLENT service and amazing food. I didn't spend that much time in the rooms due to work, but when I was there, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Rustic furniture but decorated in style. A huge balcony with sitting opportunities and very quiet. Normal every day house keeping and an additional turn down service every day (plus a little Toblerone chocolate on your pillow every night). My highlight was the food and its amazing waiting team. We had the full board and I probably added 5kg in the ten nights :P Firstly there was always an amuse bouche, followed by two starters to chose from, as well as two mains and either dessert or cheese. All the dishes were very good and if it happens that you didnt like one, they always found a solution and prepared something different for you. All the dishes were very tasty and I never had anything to complain about. Should you have chosen cheese as dessert, they came to the table and you could chose which one you wanted - always accompanied by bread. Oh... I forgot: there was also always bread after the amuse, together with butter. The waiting staff was amazing, very friendly and Wolfang, their sommelier, always had that special wine that worked perfectly with each course. All in all I can only highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Gstaad. Furthermore it is a lovely walk down the hill (bit tougher up hill)... and if you didnt want to walk, they provide a shuttle service as well. Breakfast also has everything you want... so go check it out!

It Was Amazing, Excellent Hotel, Wonderful Views

An outstanding family run hotel in chalet style - nothing too much trouble and many little extras with a permanent smile . The food is without doubt the best we had including visiting the grandest establishments/hotels but very competitive prices. Check it all out

I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled to write about le grand chalet. Excellent hotel with fantastic staff. Great views, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast (included, how refreshing!), fabulous wine list, helpful transportation service. Special thanks to Carol for all the advice, help with bookings, and making us feel so welcome; and to Charles for making the logistics of getting to/from Ski slopes and town so seamless. This was our first time to le grand chalet. We are already planning coming back next year for another long weekend. Top marks!
