APA Hotel Hiroshima Ekimae

Clean, simple no fuss business hotel. Only stayed 1 night but did the trick

near jr station /staff friendly/small room/ difficult to find because name's hotel ( japanese language)

Great stay and good location. Nothing special but no complaints either.

Terrible! Room is way too hot! They switched off the central air-conditioning for the rooms because the weather outside is cold. Room is like 35c the whole time and I am sweating all wet while sleeping. Had to open the doors wide open as the lift lobby is colder.

This hotel was the best one that had on this trip. The staff was very nice and the room very very clean and neat. It only 2 blocks from the streetcar, bus stops and the JR Sta.

Room really really tiny and quite a distance from Hakata station.

Hotel in a great location. Right near the train station, and near the trams. number 2 and 6 go to the "memorial park" and number 2 to the end of the line, to the ferry to the Island, a must see. lots to eat nearby and hotel by a canal so waterviews.IF LUCKY. No problems, great value for money.. BUT... please read carfully.... make sure you get a room where the window faces...outside. the hotel is like a circle with a dirty, dark, dusty middle. if you get a room away from the outer walls of the hotel you will have a frosted window that only opens a crack, and when you open it.. you see a filthy dirty dusty wall/ tunnel from celing to floor. I was so upset that given the hotel has over 10 floors and was close to empty they gave me one of "those rooms". I had to complain it was unacceptable, and was finally moved to an outer room which was fine, even nice. windows open all the way, and city/water views. lots of fresh air. that was my only negative... and it was rectified, but i was mystified why i would get such a bad room when the hotel was empty. both rooms were single and identical inside. so MAKE SURE you get a room on the outside..... or you will feel like you are in a prison.

This hotel's location is fantastic, just a block from the station South exit and within a 15 minute walk of Hiroshima castle. My room was recently renovated and very clean. However, be warned that the rooms are small, even by Japanese standards. Only just enough room for bags etc. staff were very nice and most spoke reasonable English.

The hotel was in a convenient location - a five minute all to Hiroshima station. We visited in November, but is was unseasonably warm for Autumn. Unfortunately the aircon dictionary was set to "warm" and hotel staff advised they were unable to individually change a room's setting. They suggested we open the window, which we did, but the street noise was quite loud. Staff did their best by supplying a fan, but APA need to improve the aircon fitting system. The other issue we had was that the pillows provided were thin and hard, and we only had one pillow each.

Small rooms. Convenient location near the train station, good for short trip to Hiroshima. Service was good.
