Cedar Manor

Cedar Manor is located a short walk from the train station. It is a beautiful residence. The room we stayed in was exceptionally well decorated and very comfortable. We loved that there was a wooded path located next to the residence that took us directly to the lake. We loved our stay at Cedar Manor and will return.

The hotel is beautiful both inside and out. The rooms are all individually designed with bespoke furnishings, immaculately clean and with comfy beds. Little touches such as a fridge stocked with bottled water and fresh milk for tea/coffee, kettle, biscuits, and a complimentary bar of chocolate were very thoughtful. There were lovely local made toiletries in the bathroom, and lots of other bits and bobs for your use. An in room safe, iron/ironing board, shoe shine kit, hairdryer, literally everything you could want. The lounge/bar and dining room are very relaxing and again beautifully decorated. There is an outside patio area to sit and relax in with a drink on a nice day. Breakfast was wonderful, all made with local produce. We were given a menu each day to fill in with our requirements which meant we were served quickly in the mornings. Couldn’t fault a thing. The owners obviously take great pride in their business and know what guests want. They will do anything to help and are very welcoming. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Windermere.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Cedar Manor. The property is charming and clean, and our hosts were gracious and accommodating. The location is close enough to town to be an easy walk in for dinner or coffee, but far enough to be nestled in quiet surroundings. Having breakfast and cocktails available made for a homey experience, and I hope next time we get to take advantage of afternoon tea!

After reading other reviews I booked an afternoon tea for a small family celebration - we were not disappointed. We had a friendly & warm welcome. The afternoon tea was simply stunning. Such high quality food & very varied. The Prosecco was lovely too. An amazing selection of loose leaf tea to choose from. We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon & I would definitely recommend. Thank you so much.

Cedar Manor Windermere is in a superb location. Easy access to local train station and buses which take you all over the surrounding areas. Perfectly stress free at not having to drive or find car parks. Caroline and Jonathan are amazing hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is beautifully decorated/furnished. Five star service. Breakfast and their special afternoon tea are amazing. This all adds up to a relaxing enjoyable stay in a gorgeous part of the lakes.

Gorgeous gardens, friendly hosts and a wonderful location that is a short walk from excellent restaurants.
