Cedar Manor

What an excellent place to stay and unwind . We couldn't fault anything. The location was great being easy walking distance into Windermere town, its own parking, lovely furnished, warm and clean rooms, friendly staff, lovely breakfasts and Jonathan and Caroline(The owners) were great hosts in everyway. Over the last 30 odd years we've stayed in the Lakes quite a lot, but this definitely comes out on top and we will be back

We have just returned from a two night stay in the Orrest Head suite and we can’t sing the praises of Cedar Manor enough. We found everything about the place was superb, the afternoon tea was gorgeous and what we couldn’t eat was plated up to be eaten in our room later. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices (the fluffiest pancakes imaginable), everywhere was spotlessly clean and the quality of the furnishings was evident. We shall be back.

Lovely hotel, in a perfect location. The facilities were just spot on and provided a really comfortable break. All finishes were perfect with some lovely touches in the room and in particular the bathroom. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area which made us feel very at home.

Rude owner. I paid for the Coach House which clearly showed that it was both floors. When I arrived upstairs was locked and was told I had to pay £125 per night to gain access. I showed the owner my booking with details of booking the upstairs but he continued to refuse to listen. Ruined the first night for me and my wife.

We had the loveliest time staying at Cedar Manor for the new year! The Windermere room was stunning, clean, and comfortable (as was the rest of the house). Caroline and Jonathan were extremely kind and helpful during our stay, and truly helped to make our visit the best. Cedar Manor is also perfectly located to do some smaller day trips in the Lake District or to just stroll around nearby sights and experiences. We also did the afternoon tea and could not recommend it enough. The service, tea, and food were all excellent (just make sure to book in advanced and eat a light breakfast!) It was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip and and an amazing value. We were sad to have not booked more time here, but staying here was the perfect way to close out a busy trip with a relaxing and quiet stay. We will absolutely be back and will recommend Cedar Manor to everyone we know! Thank you all!
