The room had seen better days, slightly scruffy and not enough attention paid to the upkeep, too many bitd of poor maintenance and had to wait ages for staff at reception.. Overall not too bad but could have been better.

Rather tatty careworn room.

Breakfast was generally pretty good. Room was decent (quiet and comfy but a lot of stairs and a maze to get there). Staff were very helpful

Paying £125+ per night I would expect better quality toilet paper ;) Breakfast coffee was horrific.

Location excellent to walk to restaurants/shops in Darlington. Staff I met were friendly/efficient.

Sadly the hotel itself in need of some TLC. It’s tired, paint peeling, room furnishings need upgrading/refurbishing/modernising, restaurant in similar need. Breakfast very ordinary buffet. Overall not great value for money.
