Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Excellent evening meal.

My single room felt in need of TLC and maybe slightly less 'grey' decor. Breakfast was slightly disappointing with overcooked, tasteless scrambled eggs.

Central location and staff friendly. Car parking available.

Hotel is tired and really needs refurbished. Room was basic, TV tiny and mould around bath. Bathroom door didn't close. Carpet on stairs worn.

Very comfortable bed, and hotel centrally located, good parking.

My only criticism is that the lighting in my bedroom was very poor, with a poor bedside light, and weak overhead light - not good if you are trying to read - I gave up! Room was number 14

"Perfect location for us in centre of Melrose, close to bus stops and tourist attractions."

Full Scottish Breakfast was excellent with good selection of teas and coffee. Bedroom was comfortable and tea making facility with snacks included in price. Excellent shower.

Main areas are a little dated but were very clean so not a problem for us.
