Red Lion - B&B

Great welcome on arrival and ALL staff were friendly & courteous throughout. The room (2) was excellent - very spacious & comfortable with a lovely bathroom. However, the food was poor during our dinner (the "Award Winning" pie was very dry/overcooked?) and the service was unacceptably slow at breakfast during the overnight stay. Profuse apologies were tendered and the cost of all our food & wine was deleted from the bill, to be fair. We did not ask for this but it was offered without hesitation by the hotel.

Red Lion was great . Room comfortable, clean . En suite excellent . Food both evening meal and breakfast very good . Good value for money . Would stay again.

Beautiful village and a great meal in local restaurant.

Stayed overnight here before going to photography course next day. Lovely warm fires downstairs and cozy feel on a wet November night. The room, one of five, was comfortable with a good shower and tea and coffee facilities; also complimentary mineral water. Another advantage was windows that you open to let the fresh air in. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for the village and the abbey great food very large portions could only manage one course

We planed to stay here just to break our journey home from cornwall, but it was such a frendily and comfortable stay,the staff could not do enough for you, and the village was beautiful well worth a stay.

Atmospheric hotel in lovely Lacock. Lots of character and nice restaurant .

Excellent experience. A unique village

Nice large room. A bit creaky and lopsided so had to be careful that items didn't roll off any surface but that's probably to be expected in an old building!! Couple of cobwebs and several fat flies buzzing slowly around (end of season!) but otherwise comfortable and clean. Very clean, modern bathroom with lovely towels and products. Unusually, no telephone in room to contact Reception. Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful (although not always easy to find). Breakfast was a bit disappointing: everything appeared to have been cooked well in advance (including the toast and eggs) and therefore lacked flavour. Lovely garden area and plenty of parking space.
