Red Lion - B&B

Can't fault the service I received from the staff. The hotel and its location is stunning would love to return for a personal visit next time.

Very comfortable, clean and modern room in 14th century inn, The George, which is where they put us when I booked The Red Lion. Wonderful restaurant, great breakfast included. Many movies filmed right outside its doors in Lacock, a village you just have to see - and lots of Harry Potter filmed at Lacock Abbey and in the town, too.

Loved our stay here! The room, the building, the people, but especially the town. Can't wait to come back!!

This old pub is in the Main Street of Lacock right next to the Abbey. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and recently refurbished to a high standard - lovely modern bathroom with a big comfy bed. We stayed for dinner and breakfast - both excellent. The garden bar at the back is pleasant to sit out in. We had overseas visitors with us and the whole Lacock experience was impressive.

We chose this for the location. Above the pub center of town. The food was good.

While we booked in through the Red Lion, we were allocated a room in the George at the other end of the high street. Although our booking did say this we hadn't realised it was another place but linked to the same company. Our mistake in checking in to the Red Lion was soon rectified by the very helpful person in charge who directed us to the other end of the high street. Breakfast is served in the Red Lion and not the George.

We booked into The Red Lion Hotel in Lacock but were sent to the sister hotel called The George on arrival. Our room at The George was newly renovated, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts were served at The Red Lion around the corner and were very good. The staff In The George were friendly and helpful and the evening meals were tasty and hearty. The village of Lacock is owned by the National Trust and staying there is like stepping back in time. The nearby Lacock Abbey has a wonderful garden that is like your own private garden. Many films and series have been filmed in the village.

Good evening meal, lovely freshly cooked breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Room good in a quaint period building with some eccentricities such as sloping floors. Overall a good comfortable one night stay
