Facilities and room were really good

The staff didn’t know what they were doing at any point. Check-in was awful and so was booking spa treatments. Then the room wasn’t ready until an hour after check in time. There were two tables including ours at dinner and the food took 45 minutes to come out. Prices of food were extortionate for basic pub food.

The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was very tired with yhe finish on taps etc flaking off and looking grubby. The building is beautiful and the location is lovely. Everything else is beyond disappointing.

The staff all behave as if staying customers are a real inconvenience. They do not accommodate dietary requirements although they tell you on booking they will. Further, breakfast is a disaster. We had to wait over an hour for our food and the hotel was far from full. They ran out of sausages right at the start of service. They made no adjustments for those with mobility issues. In fact they actually put them in the most inaccessible room they had. They do not have any disabled parking spaces so you cannot get a wheelchair of the car either.
